Wendy Warwickshire's 1987 theme for the opening credits of action serial Roadfox. This high-octane effort set the scene for a derivative yet exciting premise of a hot crime fighter on a computer-assisted bicycle - following on from Airwolf, Knight Rider, Street Hawk, etc. Knowingly camp dialogue - and a star turn from BMX rider-turned-actress Evie Gilbert - proved enough for fans, but it failed to convince studio execs, who pulled the plug after the pilot. Warwickshire's bombastic tribute to fellow 70s/80s TV action theme heroes Mike Post and Peter Carpenter survives.

Post-apocalyptic thoughtpiece 'Within the Eye' sought to explore the madness and desolation of a society ravaged by nuclear war. The cult six parter remains strangely affecting, despite obviously dated in many ways. The preoccupations of 1985 hang heavy over Wendy Warwickshire's curiously haunting theme, which invokes both the jungle setting and the inexorable march to war. The iconic opening credits featured stark silhouette images over a facsimile computerized green and black graph background, much imitated to this day.

The section of this relentless Wendy Warwickshire loop experiment from 1.44 remains for many an iconic moment of their childhood, associated with the gunge, balloons and glitter of 'Bouncy Castle'. The weekly half hour of mayhem, games and anarchic humor was hosted by now discredited cult figure James Bouncy, a stage name for convicted sex offender James Bonasera. However, Warwickshire's theme conveys some of the 'anything goes' hilarity of those more innocent times, and survives any associations with Bonasera's shame.
