As I was sharing my #songwriting, I had an epiphany that led me to share some empowering words with you. The more I talked, the more words came so I found a good stopping point, ended the recording, and promised to  share the rest in a Part 2, or possibly a part 3.

Today, my #meditation time was interrupted by an unexpected visitor. I am proud of myself for the several times I refocused. Nearly ruined my day, but I didn't allow it. 

Sometimes life requires us to pivot, to change direction from the path we're on. I had to work at it today. I've been walking the negative path of "this sh*t always (only) happens to me," for a long time. Today, I made progress by not allowing circumstances outside my control to cause me to remember that my intention is to focus in ways that are positive. I found the blessings in the moments and kept moving. And then I took a lonnnng nap.

“If I don’t try,  I can’t fail,” is one of the biggest lies we tell ourselves. When we don’t try, we automatically fail at achieving the intended goal. It’s like forfeiting a game. You still lose and you didn’t even play. What if you were set up to win? 

I came to this conclusion today as I was listening to an Abraham-Hicks recording. If the gift I was given was predestined to succeed, then I need not delay in doing my part because the success is inevitable. I share about this epiphany on today's #podcast.

Day 14 "Fear of Failure" #LETSFOCUS w/ Marlene Dillon Empowerment Specialist

I've been running and doing so much the last few weeks without getting adequate rest. I, honestly, haven't been taking care of myself. Yesterday, I made a choice that left me completely wiped out yesterday evening and I still feel quite weak today. I wasn't really listening to any indicators to rest, so it seems my body is forcing it on me. And it's no fun. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow. I'm planning to rest through the weekend (no promises, though, lol). Podcast gets posted regardless. Blessings!

Day 15 "Rest By Choice" #LETSFOCUS w/ Marlene Dillon Empowerment Specialist

Today, I learned something amazing. I was listening to another Abraham-Hicks recording and an idea came to me. I can begin to look at "alignment" as "in line for it." If I picture to lines, with a table in front of each. One line is what I don't want, and one line is for what I do want. I can check in with how I'm feeling to know what line I'm in. If I'm feeling bad, I'm in line for what I don't want. If I'm feeling good, hopeful, enthusiastic, and optimistic, I'm in line for what I DO want. And I can check in with myself at any time throughout my day and get back in the right line... by simply thinking one slightly better thought at a time.

Sometimes life hands us circumstances that we can't fix, that we can't undo... moments of "it is what it is." In these often painful moments, we can choose to channel some of that energy toward creating. Whether beautiful or downright scary, we can use our creativity to channel the pain in a positive way. 

On today's episode, I share I song I wrote, called, "Let It Go," a song that came to me as I processed a pain that periodically wafts up over something that's out of my hands. If you have some things that bring you pain and you can't control, maybe creating can allow you to sit with the circumstance in a new and different way.
