Being stuck in isolation for so long made it easy for my mind to wander down a dark path, looking at things with a bitter perspective, and wishing for things that weren't there. Most of the titles on the release were relevant to how I was feeling or what I was going through as I wrote the tunes. Completing this release has really helped me overcome the feeling of general sadness and wishful thinking I was experiencing and start to change my outlook in a more positive light. "Sourcery" is the third full length album by A Path Untold, aka producer/composer Daniel Merrill, who has been creating and releasing under the moniker since 2015. It is the most ambitious, intricate and intentional record he’s created so far. In relation to past works, it is ever more evocative and far-reaching in it’s scope, resulting in a progression of songs designed to transform the dancefloor into sacred space and back again, while providing an evolving, enthralling ride that facilitates as much of an inner journey as listeners want to take.

The album draws on genre elements from future garage, deep/slow house, ambient downtempo, medicine music and a variety of multicultural flavors. These elements, as a sonic lexicon, serve to build and explore a deeply moody, symphonic, emotional world, filled with a sense of mysterious enchantment, spirits and the eternal relationship of opposites. Featuring iconic artwork created by painter Miles Toland, the album centers around themes of infinity, unity, duality, boundless consciousness exploration and creative ritual.

This release is the debut musical offering on The Chambers Project which until now has consisted of internationally celebrated psychedelic visual artists such as Ralph Steadman, Mars-1 and many more.

Marley Carroll’s auspicious start as a classically trained percussionist and award-winning turntablist propelled him into the limelight at an early age. Carroll’s signature style of exquisitely-detailed atmospheric dance music is adored by fans for its powerful emotional resonance and highly rated by peers who cite him as an abiding influence, evoking comparisons to genre luminaries like Four Tet and Caribou.

Onstage, he delivers a raw and improvisatory adaptation of his records to spellbound audiences, combining sampling, drum pads and live looping with expressive and unconventional turntable skills. He has shared stages with Floating Points, Bonobo and DJ Shadow and has notched acclaimed appearances at iconic music festivals like Coachella and LiB.

His 2022 EP, Voices, was inspired by the heartache of missing raving during lockdown and combined the driving intensity of the dance floor with the luminous nostalgia of late-night afters. Voices captured the attention of BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, Radio Ibiza, KCRW and KEXP and became a dance floor staple and essential listening for fans of artists like DJ Seinfeld and Godford.

This year, he returns with the One More Year EP on Anjunadeep’s brand new Explorations imprint. Over the course of three lean, expertly-crafted UKG cuts brimming with evocative vocals and lush pads, Carroll explores a spectrum of emotions: pain and regret on the title cut, longing and love on “Falling,” and joy and gratitude on “Dearly Beloved.” One More Year has picked up support from deep house legends Above & Beyond with multiple appearances on their legendary Group Therapy DJ mix series.
