Really quite proud of this one. The song and lyrics were written by Roxanne and I'll been in love with the track for a long time, but finding a vocalist initially was quite hard - none of the singers we tried worked.

Eventually we found Gavin singing covers on YouTube, got him into the studio, and were blown away by how he made the song his own, especially as it was his first time ever singing on a track. Really love the final result and going to be getting some serious remixes done down the line for this one!

Our remix competition for Eye Of The Storm received nearly 1000 entries, over a huge variety of styles, which made the task of picking a winner unbelievably difficult.

In the end, after going through every single remix entered, our chosen winner was the one that we felt captured the bittersweet emotion and raw feeling of Gavin's vocal the best, and this melodic stunner by Bl3r did that, despite very tough competition.

We'll be posting up 3 of our other favourites over the next week so keep your eyes out for those.

Staying true to his name, Stealth has craftily taken centre stage. Every record he's released oozing with sophistication has repeatedly stolen the spotlight. And this next one is no exception.
The production connoisseur yet again goes for the aural jugular, using ProgRAM as a launch pad. Stealth demonstrates the imprint's forward thinking movements and command of a genre which often goes unmatched. The relationship has been harmonious; alongside ProgRAM, he's already made a crater sized impact within the dnb community... And it's not difficult to see why.

'Homage' leads in a tightly fashioned intensity. Dark, brooding and with plucky percussion, it's a tribute to the sound Dillinja mastered. An instantly recognisable vocal sample is filtered through the record's menace, meandering perfectly between the bassline's thumps which eventually drop us into LFO-lead chaos. Piece by piece the main melody begins to build, throbbing until it completely over-takes the record's more humanistic elements. Audibly stocky, yet with a dimension that rings true of Stealth's icy production, it's a relentless roller with a nasty bite.

Next up, 'Smash It' still holds onto the merciless setting of its predecessor, but also offers something completely different. With a bristling rhythm that steps its way into a haunting crescendo, Stealth uses this break to highlight the track's imposing detail; it trickles, floods and then the dam breaks due to the build up's audible weight. Progressing deeper into the mix, the track is underpinned by quaking sub bass. An insistent kick and snap of drums merges against steeply elevating note loops, laying out Stealth's finely combed conundrum of complex yet hard hitting composition. Both 'Homage' and 'Smash It' receive the innovative-stamp of approval, playing on more contemporary elements but also delving deep into the 90s, promising both tracks remain timeless.

Stealth is pushing his influence into every corner, with his late night vibes commanding even the hardest of crowds. So, yet again, it's time to get with the ProgRAM, and succumb to one of the scene's biggest contenders.

South London duo The Correspondents (aka Mr. Bruce and Chucks) return with their brand new single ‘Well Measured Vice’ due for release on January 28th. The single is accompanied by a bespoke animated video that was three months in the making. It was hand-drawn to over 2232 frames by Mr. Bruce himself, whilst he was recovering from a broken metatarsal.
 
Forming in 2007 The Correspondents quickly burst onto the scene in a whirl of sweat and spandex, picking up plaudits across the board for their frenetic genre-hopping breed of electronica and incendiary live shows, replete with outrageous outfits, travelators and infra-red sensored light boxes (earning them the Telegraph’s Top 10 Glastonbury highlights two years in a row). Since then, they have wowed audiences large and small everywhere: from Glastonbury, The Secret Garden Party, Bestival and Lovebox through to Kensington Palace, The Tower Of London, Shambala and Silencio in Paris to name a few.
 
New track ‘Well Measured Vice’ is powerful statement of intent. Organs, guitars and horns are punctuated by toe-tapping 60 ’s beats and mesmerising vocals creating a unique sound that is as arresting to the feet as it is to the ear. Essentially an anti-prohibition anthem against contemporary East London censorship laws, Mr. Bruce proclaims ‘what is life, what is life without well measured vice’ and who can argue with that! On the flip remixes come courtesy of Featurecast who gives it the Electro then Dub treatment whilst Chucks himself delivers a bombastic Glitch-Hop banger guaranteed to destroy any dance floor.
 
500 limited edition 10-inch vinyl’s of ‘Well Measured Vice’ will be released on January 28th, each will be numbered and contain a bespoke hand drawn illustration by Mr. Bruce. The 500 images will then be made into a 40second animated video.  Their debut album is due out in early 2013.
