From her stint in London to heading back down under Australian selector Marlie has become part of the new breed of artists climbing the ranks of the underground. She can be found regularly spinning at some of the hottest parties and has made her name based on vibe-fuelled sets at the likes of fabric, The Egg, as well as her native raves Subsonic, S.A.S.H. and of course her very own nocturnal project Roots.

Not one to lay around in one genre for too long Marlie’s collate a smoothly curated soundtrack that not only features minimal but also sun-flecked house, acid, and bombastic breaks. This Ozzy chick belies her demure exterior and is more than capable of melting faces should the mood take her. "A tour de force to Europe’s minimal scene, Australian selector Marlie is currently on a whirlwind rise through its underground ranks. A culmination that’s resulted from years of honing her craft of global dance-floors.

One of original founders of East London brand Point back in 2015 - Marlie began her journey immersed in London’s vibrant house and techno community. Cutting her teeth by performing at warehouse and woodland raves as well as institutions like Fabric & Egg London.

An inevitable return home to Australia’s East coast in 2016 was a new opportunity, and alongside gracing respected city nightspots she created her project Roots. A gathering of like-minded musical creatives they have left an indelible mark on Sydney’s underground culture over the last couple of years.

Marlie’s story begins in London, where she traded the shores of Sydney for the hum of Europe’s underground. The move set her on a new course shaped by rhythm, discipline, and curiosity. Years spent competing as an international gymnast gave her a natural sense of flow and precision, qualities that now define her sound behind the decks.

Her project Roots began in Sydney, taking over small, improvised spaces before finding its footing in London, from intimate gatherings to Room 2 at Fabric. What started as a local idea became a platform for connection and forward-thinking sounds.

She has since played hundreds of shows across Europe and beyond, including appearances at Fabric, DC10, FUSE, and Shelter - Some of the world’s most respected dancefloors. With more exciting projects on the horizon, Marlie continues to carve her path with focus and forward motion, always in the driver’s seat.
