Memphis 5/73 Kimball CD track 1: Healey Willan: Introduction Passacaglia Fugue -John Hooker

I collect radio transcription records, and acquired many that were cut at KMOX radio station late 1940's. This is probably on the Kilgen Theatre organ in the KMOX studios. Organist is unknown.

Clare D' Lune played on St. Louis KMOX radio station pipe organ

Ignoring the bad playing this recording is rare in that it was done when the St. Louis Fox Theatre auditorium had no seats, carpet or drapes and featured acoustics not heard today. The organ work was in process and we had no pro organists available that day, so I was stuck with trying to play for the microphones. Copyright Marlin Mackley and Rick Oberle 1982.
