I had this up in the past, but it didn't seem to be getting much attention.
It had about 28 listens as far as I recall.

It is about an experience I had with a young waitress who was totally new to her job and seemingly totally scared.

She worked at an all-night café.

I ate there after work before going home, but only twice a week.

I think the song explains itself and the situation.

Initially I felt like I was in a Disneyesque cartoon because I was so tired.

I felt that the experience was worth writing about.

This song really needs to be played before every Congressional session to remind them that they serve the people, not themselves.

It could also be played before sports events to replace or accompany the National Anthem which  some people protest.

Republicans hate the Constitution with a passion.
They prefer the old "god ordained" ruler who is really a dictator, like Hitler and they promote the old "divine right" to rule.

However, the Constitution comes from God through Jefferson, Washington, Franklin and others who gave their lives to set the nation up.

This song could also be used by persons who settle space colonies and carry the American dream to space inhabitants; both current and future.: Because America is still a dream in process of becoming a reality.


For the lack of a better name I called this "A New American Anthem"
However, it could be named, "What is America?"
I now have named it "What is America?"

I removed the earlier version.   It had 16 listens.
This version had 18 listens, but now has more.

The original anthem was about the flag and war.
The hymn America, the Beautiful is about God and country
This is about the Constitution and people

This is a possible new anthem.
We have the National Anthem which honors the flag and war.
We have "America, the Beautiful" which is about the nation and God.
This one honors people with: "What is America to me? ......"the people...."

It is a rewrite of Sinatra's "The House I Live In".   
The Republicans hate Sinatra also.
Their hatred contradicts their pro-life claim.

I changed the third part to say: ..."the dream that's been growing since 1776.

The original said: ..."the dream that's been growing for 150 years"...

Hopefully this will make the song sing-able by everyone forever.
It needs to be.

It could make Sinatra a super, super star.
He did a lot to promote patriotism and confidence.

The Methodists changed the title to "Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory"
The Baptists used the third verse as a beginning for their song.
I have modified the third verse to reflect this nation's commitment to human rights.   I hope you like it.

Frank was recently quoted on You Tube, I think, having said that he hoped someone would extend his work.   I hope this helps, but he seems to be holding his own even though dead.

It's been a long road, but I now have a label- Creative Commons- to work with as far as I know. 

I have been writing songs since 1964,
My first was "Ode to JFK".
I didn't have any way to publish it and never did.
It is long since lost.
I have tried to write to match old classical styles or have the songs be able to be done by an orchestra or symphony.
The Beatles songs can be performed by orchestra or symphony.

I have CDs of songs of artists back to the old classics of earlier centuries.

The CDs are of Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and Billie Holliday, She is on a CD with others.

The CDs include Shania Twain, Dean Martin, Reba McIntyre and many more.

Unfortunately I have moved to a retirement home and don't have room for my CDs so they are lost to me.

My song - Demummified- is about a situation which was almost cartoonish for me, but I couldn't, or at least didn't convey that fact in the song.

I was working three jobs after serving as daddy to a friend's son.   He was in the service at that time.

I always liked to eat and unwind after work before going to bed. 

A new cafe had opened up on my route to home and I stopped to eat.  

I was so tired that I was almost asleep while waiting for my food.

The young server came over and started talking to me and initially I thought I must have been in a cartoon.    At that time I wondered if I somehow had gotten into a cartoon about a drunk who thought he saw dancing girls.

I quickly woke up enough to realize that the server was talking to me and asking me if I could stay with her at work all night.   She was just 16 and on her first job.   

I had a lot of sympathy for her situation, but knew  that I couldn't spend the night because I had to go home and get a couple of hours of rest before going to my day job.

I did eat at the new place about twice a week after work and the server and I talked about everything and nothing.

The song describes the amazing effect she had on me; perhaps because of my sympathy for her.    I had thought I was as good as dead and couldn't have feelings.

For me it was a Disneyesque situation and I thought it was worthy of a song and perhaps a comedy show with Fred Murray or someone from Disney to bring out the comedy.

The experience is almost impossible to explain.
