My name is Maron Khoury. I am 2nd flutist with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. I have held that position since age 20. I started my music education in Israel, and later was admitted to the Curtis Institute of music in Philadelphia, where I continued my music education and lived for five years. My major flute teachers include Jeffrey Khaner, principal flutist of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Eyal Ein Habar flutist of the Israel philharmonic. I have played under major conductors including James Levine, Simon Rattle, Daniel Baremboim, Riccardo Mutti among many others.
