Fandango Tejas is an open group of families and many friends in Texas who share the music from Veracruz, Mexico known as "Son Jarocho". It is more properly known as musica de cuerdas or huapangos Veracruzanos. The music includes call-and-response singing, rhythmic dancing, and beautiful jaranas and other instruments.
Here, Fandango Tejas plays El Colas AKA Senora Margarita in Austin's Honk musical festival on 3 22 2014. This was outdoors on a delightful cloudy afternoon in Austin's West Campus at the Spider House.
