This next one’s a very special B2B set from two of techno’s freshest talents. German/Dutch pairing Phil Berg and Lobster have emerged from their respective habitats masters of their art. From raves in both their homelands to releases on SK-eleven, HAYES, Room Trax and positivesource, as well as a shared residency for Vault Sessions that’s brought them here for Bassiani Podcast 210, the duo posit a deep and driving compound of high-voltage rhythms in their day-to-day praxis. Slamming techno that has claimed a rightful space among the greatest names of their generation. Layer by layer, an instinctive formulation of heaving basslines and delicate hi-hats balanced with utmost precision. It’s a seamless communion of complementary worldviews in respect to sound, a rich tapestry of ever morphing loops. It’s focus on gradual build, a slowly evolving chimera in lieu of schmaltzy instant gratification. This latest edition clocks in at three hours, a redacted version of their 12 hour set for the Vault Sessions night at Bassiani back in early February. Immersive and rolling, monolith techno that’s sure to set a higher bar for those who follow.

Benales is a DJ and producer known for his unique blend of raw, dark, and deep techno and house, with nods to Detroit influences. Based in France, he has been making waves in the underground techno scene since the late 90s. With an extensive vinyl collection and a talent for selecting tracks that resonate with crowds, Benales has become a respected DJ in Europe, regularly playing at top clubs such as Tresor, Rex Club, Radion or Le Sucre, and sharing the stage with renowned artists such as DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, and James Ruskin.

Aside from his skills behind the decks, Benales is also a gifted music producer. He has released several EPs and remixes on acclaimed labels such as Sino (Technasia label), KEY Vinyl (Freddy K label), Mitsubasa, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality, and more. In addition, he is a signed artist on Construct Re- Form label, with several releases on the horizon, including a VA on KS R, CRF, Matterwave, and S.lab.

Benales's talent for music production has earned him international recognition, especially for his releases "Elements part 1 & part 2". His unique style and skills as a DJ and producer have cemented his status as a respected figure in the underground techno community, known for his powerful and unforgettable sets.

This means ‘Powerful Culture’ in Sranan Tongo which is the native Surinamese language. This title says everything about my approach to this mix, as i've recorded it with a closing state of mind. I truly believe that even when playing a bit more direct and faster the essential of groove and rhythm should always be the key element and should never fade away for the sake of just banging out hard tracks. This mix is recorded at 144-146 BPM which is the fastest i’ve played in my podcasts so far. Dedicated to all the people that has supported me heavy throughout this year. Continuously trying to exceed his own limits, MARRØN employs fast rhythmics inspired by his roots. The artist’s moniker pays homage to the strong-willed Marrons, a once-enslaved African tribe who defied oppression and found freedom 
in the primeval forests of Surinam. The hypnotic, percussive beats characterizing MARRØN’s foundational Afro Deep style have evolved to form a singular conception of techno. His dynamic take on the genre is at home in the underground, most notably in his role as co-founder and resident of Amsterdam’s Eerste Communie. MARRØN’s capable command of groove, power, and texture is no doubt a convincing invitation to stay on the dancefloor for hours.
