I am usually not a fan of sharing online the experience of a live set. The emotion, energy and aurea of that moment is something that cannot be grasped with a simple click. 
However, since the moment I touched the decks during this mix, I intuitively knew it was going to be something special… something which I would be happy for those who were not there to partially feel, listen and enjoy. This set includes a selection of my favorite tracks from this year -some older some newer- and all fundamental to create a linear, coherent story.

Paced-up and animal to the core, his vision sweeps an extra wide range of shades and reliefs, nimbly moving the cursor from classic Berlin-inspired blends to full-fledged magmatic trance, via Birmingham-style projections and a solid dose of folk-infused harmonics. Raw yet technical, organic with a hint of hypermodern hoodoo to it, Yanamaste’s sound is the definition of hardware techno with soul, cut to ram-raid and elevate in equal measure.

This Ndyuka podcast came from deep as i tried to build a story floating like a river with strong and deep elements. Kromanti is an eagle from winti religion who stand for guide and protect. Akan means river in Sranan Tongo (Surinamese language).

GAAN-LO GAAMA

There are six marron tribes and each tribe has their own leader named Granman or Gaama. This leader is responsible to keep the marron traditions alive within the nation and is the highest respected man in the Gaan-lo. (marron tribe)

With this mix i've emphasized all the basics i find needed in my sets. 
Fast paced, groovy, edgy pound and mysterious hypnotic sounds on a consistent basis throughout the set.

Eerste Communie CO-FOUNDER & RESIDENT.

Continuously trying to exceed his own limits, MARRØN employs fast rhythmics inspired by his roots. The artist’s moniker pays homage to the strong-willed MARRØN’s, a once-enslaved African tribe who defied oppression and found freedom 
in the primeval forests of Surinam. The hypnotic, percussive beats characterizing MARRØN’s foundational Afro Deep style have evolved to form a singular conception of techno. His dynamic take on the genre is at home in the underground, most notably in his role as co-founder and resident of Amsterdam’s Eerste Communie. MARRØN’s capable command of groove, power, and texture is no doubt a convincing invitation to stay on the dancefloor for hours.
