London based artist EKATA is self-described as genre and sound obsessive. She has built a reputation as a huge advocate for purist Electro and a creator of a dark and warped experience.

Her Electro shows on Ripe Radio Manchester & Guest mixes with Hilltown Disco and Ear to Ground Records to name a few, have turned the heads of some of the most respected and well established artists of the underground scene, including the likes of Anthony Rother who has expressed his love for her vision.

EKATA is currently working on her own productions which are set to release this year. She also has a brand new residency for Specimen Records that started in November 2021.

She is the former co-editor of Selection Sorted TechnoPodcast, has been a guest in many-many radioshows and podcasts, she has played in many clubs and festivals of Hungary(Kontra, wndrlnd, Corvintető, Müszi, Kuplung, R33, Egál,S.U.N festival,Ozora ect...) and also abroad, like Slovakia,Austria,Romania and France.She is currently based in Nijmegen(NL).

Tekka es el alias de Ángela Padierna, amante del vinilo desde que se topó con la historia de la electrónica americana, con la que conecto rápidamente por su temprana actividad en la música como rapper. 
Surge de la escena underground de León, una ciudad pequeña del norte de España, en la que se está solidificando una escena que llevaba muchos años de letargo y de la que sin duda forma parte como promotora , dj y rapper.
Sus comienzos fueron en espacios clandestinos, raves y afters. Más adelante encontró su sitio en el Musac (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo) y en el Cubo, pilar indiscutible de la escena leonesa y foco cultural donde todo comenzó a tener un sentido comunitario y cultural.
Desde Junio de 2023 está implicada como promotora y residente en el proyecto Solid Velvet. Club con historia que ofrece visibilidad a sellos y artistas de la ciudad y que ademas pretende acercar la escena nacional a León. 
Sus sesiones a vinilo se adaptan a la pista de baile, demuestra skills, agilidad y elegancia y sus mezclas son largas y buscan la armonía. El sonido de TEKKA es claro. Electro en todo su amplio abanico de colores y formas - clásico o actual, rápido o lento- mezclado con techno, IDM, ghetto, breaks, acid o industrial.

@laymajakin comienza a pinchar discos a mediados de los 90; a los 16 años ya pisaba cabinas y raves de su Cádiz natal, influenciada por la escena UK breaks y US breakbeat, que empezaba a sonar con fuerza en el sur. Tras una etapa en Atlanta, donde conectó por primera vez con los platos y el funk, su estilo fue tomando carácter. Pasó más de una década en Madrid, donde se volcó en el electro y el techno, y consolidó una técnica sólida: tres platos, melodías, bases y scratch como sello propio. Actualmente, residente en Mallorca, ha sido vista en eventos como Tramuntana Festival o Diskette Dance Format. Sus sets son potentes y dinámicos, mezclando estilos entre old school, techno, trance, electro y acid breaks, siempre con estilo propio y el carácter del sur.

Layma Jakin started spinning records in the mid-90s; by the age of 16, she was already playing at parties and raves across her home in Cádiz, influenced by the rising UK breaks and US breakbeat scenes that were beginning to resonate strongly in the south of Spain. acetato y una búsqueda constante de un sonido propio, 
influenciado por el Hip Hop, el electro primitivo y el techno 
oscuro. 
Actualmente dirige la sesión mensual de Broken Toys, donde se 
cocinan eclécticas sesiones  de ritmos rotos, EBM y electro.
