From the city of Lima comes the new episode of our podcast series, presenting SALÓ, DJ, producer, co-founder and curator of some of the most relevant projects of the underground scene of Lima, Peru such as Pistas Plásticas, SADISCO & TROCA.

Dissatisfied with the norms and standards that work in regulating human behavior, [Mars Antrax] seeks -through non-human identities and the influence of a futuristic and science fiction theme as offered by #techno-, to break the pillars of the system and provide way to recent generations of beings that contract new sensations and perceptions, and that require an auspicious atmosphere -safe from the violence and atrophy generated by the normative society- that allows their disoriented unfolding, freedom of self-design, expression and evolution.

This mix is inspired by Stanley Kubrick's work of art 2001: A Space Odyssey [1969] and is the first of several sessions to follow the @andromedatransmissions

The mix invites us to travel through space over an hour and, featuring HAL 9000 -one of the main characters and artificial intelligence of Kubrick's film-, encourages us to question ourselves about the responsibility that comes with the development of artificial intelligences and the impact on humanity.

Mars Antrax expresses and represents through sound and body a constant provocation to ethics and aesthetics as we know them.

Dissatisfied with standards aimed at normalizing human behavior, they venture through non-human identities and the influence of futuristic and science fiction themes, as offered by techno music, to challenge the conventions of the system. This opens a path for new generations of beings that experience new sensations and perceptions, and who require a conducive atmosphere that allows for their disoriented deployment, freedom of self-design, expression, and evolution.

The sound that Mars Antrax explores and radiates during their sessions unfolds like an enveloping narrative that evokes anticipatory tension. It generates a growing sound complexity that spans genres, traveling from immersive and atmospheric to the pure essence of chaos, through imperfect textures, hypnotic waves, and futuristic stories.
