Freddie Mercury - Living On My Own (Crowd Controlol Rework)

Classic nu-skool breakbeat collaboration released on my former label, Barely There Records.  George Clinton (Yes, THAT George Clinton of Parliament/Funkadelic fame), Andy Page, the guy behind the guy for many A-list productions, and myself made this over the course of a few weeks in Los Angeles, CA and Stoughton, WI.  In late 2002, I wrote the original song in Stoughton, We flew down to LA during a break in one of George's tours, and he was kind enough to sing my lyrics in exchange for a couple songs for his backup singers.   Then back in Stoughton, on his way back to Australia, Andy remixed it completely into a timeless track that was licensed to several compilations, including Bedrock Breaks & Thrive (Former Warner Bros., now Sony Music).  It was getting plays from everyone from Zabiela to Digweed to Hybrid to Meat Katie to...well...a ton of A-listers.  The original had more of a classic electro feel with nu-skool touches, but Andy's version became the definitive version of this song.  Interesting fact: There actually is a part 2 to this song, that has yet to be released.  Stay tuned for a revisit to this classic in the near future...
