Sept. 30th, 2023- Two and a half hours of unrehearsed improv. jam session songs performed by a long-standing group of  musicians, plus several long time players and a few old friends who chip in. This Cloudland Jam session honored our fallen friend, Steve Cloud, who was our beloved and generous host and also a great piano and guitar player, we loved his slide work!
Marshall Carlson, lead vocals and drums on several tracks (and back up vocals on other tracks).    Antoine Reynolds on Synth, Organ, Fender Rhodes, Clavicord Keys.  Eric Geer joins for a few tunes on Drums, and guitar. Ricco Caliendo on vocals on "She's Electric" and "Dont Waste my time" with MC, on and secondary vocs on Long Time Baby.  Impeccable soul, funk, and Jazz drumming by Anthony Jones in the second half on and off. Joe Ledger smoothly paces early and late songs on Bass, and amazing Chris Liddell slapping that bad bad man's Jazz-funk bass. Dave handles lead guitar jams and rhythm guitars when needed. Larry Phillabaum the master technician on Guitars, foot pedal effects extraordinaire, keys, and sometimes bass, drums! Additionally, Larry is the jam's producer and editor.  In total, 9 band members swapped instruments as the night went on, nothing was planned nor rehearsed. I'm sure Stevo was watching from his lofty condo in the sky!   I have cut this 2.5 hour WAV file jam into some of the better tracks on MP3s. The rest may be added as edited. please enjoy...more older jams to come!

7 - Mystery Man

Improv first take, five minute cosmic "floating on air" good vibes jam that conjures vibes from Progressive Rock to Motown Funk,  Classic Rock of the Moody Blues and others.  Truly a jam band that feels the groove together and follows one another beautifully. Enjoy.

This was a fun  night of live jamming with the regular guys, and we got about 2.5 hr' of decent songs out of it. Some are rough at the start but this is improv and live, so this is what we got. Jon and Marshall's creation, so far, based on our fun exploratory jams in the Bay View Basement Jam Studio. 
First session we created this base song with my Kawai Electric Piano and Shure Sm-58 Mics, Second time around I added Synth and tried to really create a vibe and feeling, and Jon played more percussion instruments and Bass. Work in progress. TBD. Enjoy.
