Sept. 30th, 2023- Two and a half hours of unrehearsed improv. jam session songs performed by a long-standing group of  musicians, plus several long time players and a few old friends who chip in. This Cloudland Jam session honored our fallen friend, Steve Cloud, who was our beloved and generous host and also a great piano and guitar player, we loved his slide work!
Marshall Carlson, lead vocals and drums on several tracks (and back up vocals on other tracks).    Antoine Reynolds on Synth, Organ, Fender Rhodes, Clavicord Keys.  Eric Geer joins for a few tunes on Drums, and guitar. Ricco Caliendo on vocals on "She's Electric" and "Dont Waste my time" with MC, on and secondary vocs on Long Time Baby.  Impeccable soul, funk, and Jazz drumming by Anthony Jones in the second half on and off. Joe Ledger smoothly paces early and late songs on Bass, and amazing Chris Liddell slapping that bad bad man's Jazz-funk bass. Dave handles lead guitar jams and rhythm guitars when needed. Larry Phillabaum the master technician on Guitars, foot pedal effects extraordinaire, keys, and sometimes bass, drums! Additionally, Larry is the jam's producer and editor.  In total, 9 band members swapped instruments as the night went on, nothing was planned nor rehearsed. I'm sure Stevo was watching from his lofty condo in the sky!   I have cut this 2.5 hour WAV file jam into some of the better tracks on MP3s. The rest may be added as edited. please enjoy...more older jams to come!

Baby You Got Me On My Knees Again

Kind of a feel out night at the Jam studio with a new bass player who had never done improv. So, many tunes are just really works in progress, played live and unedited for the most part. It was a 3 1/2 hour worth of music evening jam and party which ended at 2am. These 9 songs were the best of the night, but many others I didnt include here due to too many errors.
Live Fall of 2017, an IMPROV JAM at Cloudland Studios with the original cloudy guys. Marshall Carlson on Drums and Vocals/Lyrics, Ricco Caliendo on Vocals/Lyrics, Dave D on Guitar, Stevo Cloud our host and on slide Guitar, Kevin on Bass (for Biernat), Larry Philabaum on Keys and other instruments,  plus Jon Mercer on Congas. All songs performed live and unrehearsed, so there are some missed notes and pauses as we try to find our grooves.

On The Other Side

Another night going back in time to July of 2016, and with special guest R&B singer from Poland, Karina. Plus the regular band members, Marshall, Larry, Brian, dave, Stevo our host, and often many others who stop in and add something special. Great night, awesome collaborations during pure originals, some covers late, and great singing harmonies at times. Enjoy.

2025.03.27 -This was an afternoon of creation process, in making this improvisational Jazz number at Jon's Wauwatosa home based informal studio. Jon put two part together and we sang a couple overdub harmonies to see how it sounded. First try ever doing this kind of music or recording in his studio together. We will work on this and finish it up, and Jon will work his magic in his Audio Logic world and get a final finished version soon.
