Anjunadeep’s Explorations EP series returns for its twenty-first instalment, this time curated by Above & Beyond’s Tony McGuinness. A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronica scene, the EP features new music from Nohan, RIGOONI, Integral Bread, Mauro Augugliaro and a fresh remix from Ramiro Drisdale.

Kicking off the compilation is ‘All I Need’ from Milan-based DJ and producer Nohan. With previous releases on All Day I Dream, Crosstown Rebels and Hoomidaas, Nohan’s latest features an emotive vocal lead and syncopated arps.

Following his label debut on Anjunadeep Explorations 20, Buenos Aires-based producer Ramiro Drisdale returns to Anjunadeep with his remix of Davide Ferraro’s ‘Jewel Ice’. Leading with percussive laden grooves and delicate chords, Ramiro demonstrates why he’s released on labels including All Day I Dream, TRYBESof and The Soundgarden.

Next up, RIGOONI delivers his serene track ‘The Day I Reframed The Moon’, featuring polyrhythmic melodies and warm pads. He joined the label family in 2021, appearing on Anjunadeep Explorations 17, and has since gone on to release on Kindisch, Stripped Digital and Proton Music, as well as recently performing at Anjunadeep’s label showcase in Brazil.

Spanish DJ and producer Integral Bread marks his Anjunadeep debut with ‘Quantum Love’. Following a successful career in the industry spanning over two decades, Integral bread regularly releases on Univack Records and has garnered support from Nora En Pure, Daren Epsilon and HANA.

Also marking his first release on the label, Argentine producer Mauro Augugliaro rounds of the compilation with ‘Ethereal Memories’. Utilising an array of percussion and a deep bass, Mauro’s latest follows on from releases on Sudbeat, Or Two Strangers and Stellar Fountain.

Anjunadeep warmly welcomes Because of Art for his debut label release 'Free EP'. The title track, a collaboration with Jody Wisternoff and label-boss James Grant, was premiered on Anjunadeep 14 in April this year. The EP sees the London-based producer skilfully combine playful melodies, catchy vocal samples and washed-out pads, all centred around driving 4x4 beats and deep, warm basslines.

Because of Art has previously released on Stress Records, Armada, and has been championed by the likes of Skream and Danny Howard, as well as collaborating with industry heavyweight Sasha. His club-focused, melodic house & breakbeat has earned him support from BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM, as well as from DJ's such as &ME and Gorgon City.

‘The Birds’ are three tracks released together as the lead singles from the upcoming album, aptly named ‘Sketches’, due to its stripped down nature, is bejeweled by thematic undercurrents. 

‘Sketches’ serves to reintroduce listeners to Ackroyd’s most stunning pieces from her previous albums, all of which have been reworked into ‘acoustic’ solo piano arrangements alongside four brand new unheard pieces, which offer a taste of a new forthcoming record. The mini album sees a July release in preparation for a brand new full length album to be released in October, and One Little Indian will also reissue Ackroyd’s back catalogue on CD and vinyl alongside the new mini-album.

Feathers

'Life On The Shore' is the title track of my recent artist album featuring the stunning vocal by Katherine Amy.  The track marked a breakthrough in my experimentations as a producer trying to find my sound.  The rest of the album was then moulded around these beach themes.  The title is also fitting with where I have grown up in the south of England, by the sea.

Since his Anjunadeep debut on 2019’s Anjunadeep Explorations 11 with ’Sama', Simon Doty has developed a reputation for delectable deep melodic house. Following his recent 'Sonoma / Luna’ and ‘Airtight EP’ which saw support from the likes of Joris Voorn, Lane 8, and Edu Imbernon, Simon Doty returns with his ‘Dear Ben EP’ an emotional homage to his late friend and manager Ben.

Title track ‘Dear Ben’ opens the EP, with Oliver Wickham’s vocals lending themselves to the melancholic but touching arrangement of arps and soft progressions. Vocalist Liu Bei features on ‘Open Air’, a darker cut brimming with intensity which 'Rave Generator’ then takes a step further. Finally, closer ‘Uno’ provides a grounding release, ending in warm array of arpeggios.
