Italian duo Marsupials join the Madhouse Records roster this may with the ‘Gotta Get You’ EP, comprising three original tracks from the fledgling artists.

Luigi Giomini and Massimiliano Miele aka Marsupials have come a long way since their debut on Seven Music in late 2014, delivering a string of original content since via the likes of Large Music Scucci Manucci, Dabit, and Black Key Records. Here, the duo push on by joining the roster of Kerri
Chandler’s Madhouse Records yet another substantial step forward for the rising duo.

Title cut ‘Gotta Get You’ kicks things off and sees Giomini and Miele provide an atmospheric deep
house workout with crunchy rhythms, stirring pad lines, wandering stab sequences and weighty doses
of sub bass.

‘Quilb’ follows and takes things into deeper realms with a loose rhythmic swing, bubbling background synth tones and dubby chord hits, while closing piece ‘Hot Donuts’ rounds off the package on a gritty stripped back tip laying the focus on weighty drums and soaring chord progressions. Marsupials offer up something both classic and elegant with the ‘Gotta Get You’ EP making it a perfect fit for the
Madhouse catalogue.

Marsupial’s ‘Gotta Get You’ EP is out on Madhouse Records 3rd May (Traxsource) and 17th May (General) 2015.

Marsupials, Marcus Raute - The Way Back (Original Mix) - Snippet [CIM010]

Marsupials & Marcus Raute present an ice-cool begin of year release with “Everything Crashes” EP. 

“Everything” begins with a sassy vocal, alongside smooth humming chords, starting a track that works with its contrasts. The hums become shorter hits, the vocals less harsh. A build up drifts in, but drops into funky finger clicks and soft tones for a song that wears modest originality proud and well.
“Crash” a jazzy ensemble with string-like sounds that softly hum behind satisfyingly hissing hi-hats.

Luvless (Tsuba / Razor-N-Tape) takes "Crash" to 80’s experimental techno territory, thanks to some fiercer electronic stabs that build up to subtle changes in the beat, utilising those string sounds to casually sit in the background; a modest remix and hit in its own right.

Workerz (Back Office Records) takes the softer tones to interesting venues for the remix of "Everything", making use of more immediate synth hits to let moments of tranquility be all the more welcome. A soft howl falls into quiet drums, before bringing in a new sound; a near emulation of guitar wails that add a novel edge to an already refreshing track.

January 2016 sees the launch of the Omnibeats Compilation series with ‘Our Past Our Future’
mixed by Marsupials.

The Omnibeats Compilation series will see artists dig back through the catalogue of Champion Records and
Kerri Chandler’s MadTech and Madhouse imprints to deliver a fresh mix of the precursory output, as well as
the original content being offered up alongside the mix. 

Up first is Marsupials aka Luigi Giomini and
Massimiliano Miele, an Italian duo most notably known for their work with imprints such as Large Music,
Scucci Manucci and of course Madhouse.

With those affiliate labels in mind it’s no surprise to hear Marsupials’ mix laced with soulful house sounds
such as Dreamer G’s piano and stab-led ‘I Got That Feelin’ (Deep Mix)’, Kerri Chandler’s ‘Love Is Over’ and
also the Madhouse master’s rework of the classic ‘Show Me Love’ by Robin S, one of Champion Records
many hit records.

In amongst these retrospective choices the duo have also opted to throw in compositions from many of the
contemporary driving forces in house music such as Seb Wildblood, Waze & Odyssey, No Artificial Colours
and Walter Ego, taken from their respective EP’s on the MadTech imprint.
