Warum hast du dich für diesen Song entschieden, Kitty?

„Du bist nie fort gewesen oder ich bin nie fort gewesen. Der Song ‚Never been Away‘ von Sepiatone ist wunderschön. Besonders die Lyrics haben mich angesprochen. Die Band Sepiatone, um Marta Collica und Hugo Race, ist fantastisch. Ich habe sie mehrmals live gesehen und die Musik hat mich immer berührt. Sie ist sphärisch, verträumt und doch sehr eingängig. Ein bisschen wie Filmmusik. Marta hat einen recht speziellen Gesangsstil, der mir sehr gefällt. Die Stimmen von ihr und Hugo harmonieren bei Sepiatone ganz wunderbar.“

When I first heard this song it was a recording of Alex singing and playing the guitar.  The vocal immediately captured my attention, quite arresting, and the rich imagery and emotion of the lyric were quite powerful. Marta is an eclectic Italian songwriter, singer and instrumentalist and in the last ten years has been touring and collaborating with many international musicians and songwriters.
She began singing with the Australian-Italian group Micevice, and since 2004 is a  key member of the John Parish band.
Well known for her collaboration with the Australian songwriter Hugo Race in their outfit Sepiatone (Desvelos IT, Minty Fresh rec. Usa), she's a founding member of the international collective Songs with Other Strangers together with the  songwriters John Parish, Hugo Race, Steve Wynn, Stef Kamil Carlens, Cesare Basile and Manuel Agnelli.
