An electroacoustic piece based on a recording of me washing the windows. The voice of the window emerges - and when examined closely and translated into other pitches, the acoustic image can also be a reminder of the vocal worlds of creatures such as those living in deep waters or other possible worlds.

Spring is a documentation of a period in January 2021 when the heating system in my apartment in Berlin  broke down. It was an exceptionally cold winter and the system couldn't be repaired for several days. Silence became then not a metaphor or a "state of mind", but an indicator of the missing warmth, because the heaters, when working, always made a sound. When the water finally started coming back to the heaters, i experienced an emotion of euphoric hope similar to the arrival of spring, this time a mechanic/ artificial one, but producing the same warmth that is necessary for a body to keep living.
A strange reminder of the hidden fragility and dependency of systems in urban living, and the prospects of more severe weather conditions to come in the future and the abilities of our current systems to cope/not cope with changing and unpredictable conditions.

The piece is based on the recording of the water flowing back into the heater.
