Solé Fixtape Vol. 18

L.A. singer/producer @ImanOmari has been slow-cooking his spacey, mosaic textured R&B dreamscapes at the radar's edge for a couple of years now. The 23 year old embodies the carefree nature of his hometown with leftfield neo soul powered by emotional experiences. His latest album (VIBE)rations develops on that with greater musical flamboyance and a set of collaborations with close friends. Before stringing together half an hour of mostly self-produced tracks, we caught up to chat about MTV Music Maker, the influence of his surroundings and whatever good music is.

Iman Omari's playlist is predominantly his own unreleased material. He chose to keep it private but shouts to MoRuf, Tuamie and Quelle Chris.

Inclining and combining house, techno and bass elements, he’s fixed on developing his original and eclectic sound, which is already portrayed by the amount of monikers he has. He goes under the names Frits Wentink, Steve Mensink, Felix Lenferink or as 1/2 of the duo Will & Ink. But regardless under which name he plays, dance floors are grooving  to his style.
