THIS ALBUM WAS INFLUENCED BY THE LAST FIVE YEARS OF MY LIFE, WHICH HAVE BEEN AN INTENSE ROLLERCOASTER RIDE INCLUDING ENORMOUS UPS AND DOWNS. EXCEPTIONALLY WONDERFUL PEOPLE ENTERED MY LIFE, EXCEPTIONALLY WONDERFUL PEOPLE LEFT IT FOREVER. I LOST THREE BELOVED PEOPLE, BUT I ALSO COULD WITNESS HOW NEW LIFE SAW THE LIGHT OF DAY. I BROKE HEARTS, I GOT MINE BROKEN, TOO. 
I COULD PLAY MY FIRST SOLO CONCERTS, AND I’M OVERWHELMED BY THE WARM WELCOME THE AUDIENCE GAVE ME. THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF THIS. IT IS SUCH A RUSH AND I CAN SAY, THAT I NEVER FELT THIS ALIVE BEFORE. INSPIRED BY THESE PERSONAL STORIES I WROTE ELEVEN SONGS, MY „LIFELINES OF MUSIC“. Lifelines of Music - Full Album Preview

In 2004 the song "Dragostea Din Tei" by the Moldavan Pop Band O-Zone became a huge hit all across Europe. It was covered hundereds of times and some versions were realeased simultaneously to the original. Thats why lots of fans didn't even know who wrote that heavy colored pop-art track in the first place. The americans instead, didn't  recognized this song until it became famous by a youtube user who shot a video of himself trying to lip sync to that song, calling it the song by the name "Numa Numa" as he didn't know its original titel (just type in "Numa Numa" at youtube, and you'll find it for sure). In result, the song blew up in the states and also became a hit. Even Rihanna picked it up, using the hook melody in the song "Live your Life". 

So when I accidentely stumbled across this song in 2009 again, I tried to play the chords on piano, just for fun. But the simplicity of chords and melody instantly changed my view on it, as it suddenly sounded kind of classy and deep. I knew I had to make a New Age Piano Cover of it. After a year, I was finally happy with the outcome of my version. So here you go, and hear for yourself what one of the most covered Pop-Hits sounds like, when its played on Piano.

Ten Seconds

The „Sails“ Reworks want to enforce the confidence with which we go through foggy times. A piece of trust, also in those moments when we cannot navigate by the stars. When the view becomes murky, because our ship glides through this fog and we do not know where the wind is taking us. When the storm assails us and we hold on to the gunwale in strong waves, unaware if the morning sunlight will touch us again. 

However, no panic reigns on board, since our movement comes from our own strength and we know that the storm will calm down. After the fog a clear view follows and for the rest of our way and an encouraging, deeply rewarding feeling grows that catches us when our sail goes back in the wind in all its magnificence and our ship eventually picks up speed again.

Martin Herzberg - Sails (Storm Rework)

In 1999, Martin Herzberg started to work on his first LP Silent Mirror Inside. In the beginning, he didnt expect the project to take him four years to finish it, but it did. In the Quest for the most homogeneous compilation of tracks, countless changes were made during the process of song-selection. But at last, 14 songs were chosen to create an album which is powerful, deep and melancholic at the same time. Chill-Out meets New Age, Trip-Hop touches Filmmusic. Now, he is often asked what term describes his music the best and the answer is: Chill-Score. Grown up in a musical surrounding of the new age-solo pianists George Winston and Ludovico Einaudi, Martin was also influenced by Chill-Out musicians like Moby or Air. Simultaneously, the work of Composers for Filmmusic, such as Thomas Newman or Hans Zimmer became a crucial part of his passion for music. As follows, it became obvious that his own work would try to combine at least two genres in the most perceptive way. The result was Silent Mirror Inside. An album which includes the most personal and emotional songs Martin has written till that day. Luckily, the album became an independent-music success in his hometown Berlin and a few hundred copies were sold without the help of expensive advertisement. Now the first voices from overseas are rising and the reviews are very positive. Theres a lot to discover!...thats why the album is now available at CD Baby...to continue its way across the Atlantic.
