Hailing from Germany, Dissolut are a duo who have been making some noise with their recent productions. Having signed their recent records on Solä and releasing on well respected labels like Abode, Baikonur or their own label Noisy Neighbours, these guys are ones to keep a close eye on.

Hood EP includes two originals and a groovy remix by rising talent Jovan Vucetic.

The originals consist of tech house bombs driven by steely drums and clever percussion. Both of these tracks include catchy vocals which will create a vibrant club-ready energy.

Jovan's remix includes skipping hats, rolling drum loops and percussion patterns full of groove.

August is kicking in hard, the season is halfway gone, and elrow Music keeps tearing up dancefloors across the globe! To keep up the good pace, for our 162nd reference, elrow Music is bringing one of Britain's most interesting imports: Martin Ikin.

With two original tracks, Martin presents 'Rockin Beatz EP' that opens up with
the track naming the EP, in which Ikin starts building the energy with a drum progression with little more than a few FX and vocals on top, to then break into a danceable and groovy track, with a lot of focus around the vocal treatment along the track.

After, we have 'PWR (Original Mix)', a track in which Martin starts with a simple yet catchy drum progression, before breaking into a soulful, techy madness with a clear inspiration on the 90's sounds and vocals. The song maintains its momentum until the end, making this a really powerful track for any time in the floor.

All in all, another great discovery by elrow Music's team, that now becomes part of the big family! Stay tuned this August, as we're about to drop a big one!

Martin Ikin - PWR

I’ve been testing this track out on the road for the better part of 12 months, tweaking the moments until I felt it had just the right amount of dance floor appeal. It’s been so exciting to watch people connect with it right in front of me. I wrote the hook after wrapping up a club show at Audio in San Francisco back in June 2018. The crowd was really gravitating towards sustained, rolling grooves that night, so when I got back to the hotel I really felt the need to make one that was just for them. The speech in the breakdown is a sample of a local San Franciscan dance legend who I’ve respected for a long time, and I felt it was just too perfect to let the track out into the world without it.

With recent releases on labels like Sola, Relief or 303 Lovers, Tyler Coey is an artist to keep a close eye on. Along with him, Cuevas has been making noise with recent shows in Chile or Argentina. 

Both tracks in this EP are certified Tech House peak hour bangers with a lot of percussion, heavy hitting synths, catchy vocals and groovy basslines.

DJ’ing since 1990 and Producing music since 1991, Martin Ikin previously known as;  DJ Mayhem, Indigo, Soul Purpose, Migrant.. and loads more, has spent his life releasing records on many labels and under many aliases. Including, Defected, Nervous, OFF, Get Physical, Exploited, Zrecords, 3Beat, MOS, SwingCity, Hed Kandi, Soulfuric, Sony, Island, Atlantic..etc etc.
Martin's remix credentials include names such as Mariah Carey, Jamiroquai, Joey Negro, MAW, Grant Nelson, Hardsoul and many more...
Trained studio engineer and jazz pianist Martin stepped away from producing and engineering for others and launched his own label Soul Purpose Records in 2003, as a stable for his own productions.
2005 saw Martin adopted his label name "Soul Purpose" as his DJ & Production/Remix moniker, dropping the old school "Mayhem" tag from the early 1990's 
Now Djing & Producing using his real name for the first time ever! Martin kicks of with a Monster release on Andre Crom's OFF Recordings. Watch out for lots of brand new music coming from Martin on some of the biggest labels in the game including more on the mighty OFF Recordings.
As a musician and producer Martin draws his musical influences from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Oscar Peterson, Azymuth, Donny Hathaway, Jeff Lorber, Roy Ayers and legendary house masters like Mr Fingers, Marshall Jefferson, Derek May & Kevin Saunderson.
