Bio

Born in 1985 in Kazakhstan, Masha Iva from Mannheim (Germany) is an art historian, communications expert, and cultural professional working with museums and archives. She has been immersed in music since she learned to walk—first through ballet, then with instruments, and later as a devoted attendee of live concerts, primarily punk, new wave, hardcore, and stoner rock.

Electronic music, soundscapes, clubs, and festivals captured her attention starting in 2017. In 2021, her brother Igor, a producer and composer, taught her the skills behind the DJ decks. What began as a technical curiosity quickly evolved into ongoing performances, processing and transforming her collected musical experiences.

Since 2023/24, she has been performing publicly, developing a distinctive sound. She describes her style as “raw, non-conformist, sometimes unsettling, sometimes tender, provocative, progressive.” Her sets are infused with acid-loving dramaturgy and dynamic progression.

For kollektiv.blaue.stunde, she drew on her youthful influences, translating punk and rock into electronic music without directly replicating those genres. Her brother also handled the mastering for the set, completing the project with precision and care.

Following on from a run of successful collaborations within Steve Bug’s creative circle, Why Not Us sees Steve Bug and Ammo Avenue join forces after Ammo Avenue’s remix of Steve Bug & Huxley’s L.O.V.E. released in 2023 on Poker Flat, while vocalist Mikey V previously contributed his unmistakable voice to Steve Bug & Denney’s That Beat released in 2024 on Hot Creations. 

Building on that momentum, Steve Bug and Ammo Avenue deliver a refined two-track house release that blends Steve Bug’s long-standing authority in deep and minimal house with Ammo Avenue’s contemporary club-driven edge.

Martin got connected to electronic music by his brother. He was fascinated by DJ gear and DJing, and he learnt mixing quite quick. Basically from the dancefloor into the booth.
After gathering first expieriences at "Feierfront" in his hometown Uslar, he was hired for first gigs in local clubs, open-airs and radioshows.
His prefered genres are Tech/Deep House, Melodic/Organic/ Afro House and Downtempo, but also grooving Techno. Driving, melodical, rhytmic, dancing summarieses Martins style.

Martin is a crew member of Deep House Metropolis and Feierfront Uslar.
