@quarkmire: Thank you, I consider that a very big compliment. Though in all fairness, this one is in parts not entirely unlike Carmina Burana by Carl Orff which I have listened to at a live concert shortly before composing this. And there's a dash of Barber's Adagio For Strings in there somewhere too I guess, though when I get inspired, it's usually something like "I know what now, let's do an epic choir! And stuff!" :)

The idea behind this piece was that of Kardashev scale, which is about the size of spacefaring empires. From little type zeroes like us, to type threes and beyond who have at their disposal the sum total of the energy output of  entire galaxies.

So, how does one illustrate slow climb over billions of years towards almost unimaginable amounts of power, to a point when a star is quite literally a snack for you? Well, I tried. Yes, it does get a bit crazy towards the end.

My music is essentially a soundtrack to my thoughts, musical poems that are part classical, part electronic, somewhat minimalist, purely digital, and rather odd.
