With undisputed skill and consistency in performances, Edu earned great recognition in the Brazilian electronic music scene, ensuring his presence at considerable events and festivals, as well as a desired residency at the infamous Warung Beach Club. 

A successful DJ, Producer and now label head of Words Not Enough, this year has started very well. Edu has released on labels such as Circle of Life, The Purr, Roaming Leaves, Desert Hut, and Keyfound Records – all equally well respected imprints, showing that his sound is trusted by many.

This is a truly wonderful mix from Edu, presenting his new alias Duo State. We’re thrilled that he has joined the LOST / CAST family!

We welcome Jack Powell a.k.a Mazayr for the eighty-fourth edition of the 'Deep In Mix' series.

Based in Manchester, UK, Mazayr's productions craft a delicate balance of uplifting euphoria and melancholic introspection, anchored by grooves that hit with precision and depth. Influenced heavily by the trance classics that dominated his early DJ sets, Mazayr’s distinctive style soon found its place on prestigious labels such as The Purr, Flug Lab, Canopy Sounds, Musique De Lune, Nordic Voyage, Suprematic, Stellar Fountain, and One Of A Kind.

Mazayr’s career milestones reflect his persistent dedication and extraordinary talent. Finishing 2022 with the #1 Organic House release on Beatport for his 'Hypnose De La Lune' EP was just the beginning. His debut album, 'My Canopy', soared to #2, setting the tone for a triumphant 2023 filled with top 10 releases across Organic and Progressive House. As a DJ, Mazayr has graced iconic stages, from the legendary Sankeys in Manchester to global hotspots like Destino Pacha and the Pangaea Festival. "Playing at Sankeys was a dream come true. I saw most of the artists that influenced me early on here, so I'm glad I got a chance to play!" he recalls. Mazayr’s influences are as diverse as his music, drawing inspiration from industry giants like Michael Mayer, Sven Vath, Hoj, Hicky & Kalo, Guy J, and Atish. These influences are evident in his nuanced productions and dynamic sets, which craft a sound that is both introspective and exhilarating.

“I have a remix coming out on Stellar Fountain I’m looking forward to. And a track on Gorkiz’s Transensations later in the year that I can’t wait to share!” he reveals with palpable excitement. For Mazayr, music is a conduit for connection and inspiration. “There are many talented producers releasing amazing tracks that keep me inspired. I hope people connect with it like I do,” he says, summarizing his mission to share beautiful, soul-stirring music with the world. From the sun-kissed shores of Santa Cruz in Tenerife to the vibrant streets of Barcelona, Alessandro has crafted an identity that resonates deeply with audiences around the globe. His journey into music began early, starting with drum lessons at four and piano studies at six. This foundation laid the groundwork for a multifaceted career spanning music production, film composition, and advanced sound engineering. Alessandro’s passion for electronic music has also led him to excel in professional club mixing, with his debut performance at Café del Mar in Ibiza at just fifteen marking the beginning of his illustrious career. Following this, he launched his weekly radio show, "Together to Infinity," on Pure Ibiza Radio, where he continues to captivate audiences with his unique blend of Organic House, Melodic Techno, and Techno.

His philosophy is to create music that not only moves bodies but also touches hearts, aiming to convey deep emotions through his sound. This approach is evident in his mixes, where he effortlessly combines symphonic orchestral elements with electronic rhythms, producing a complex and immersive listening experience. His talent has taken him to prestigious stages worldwide, including Palazzo in Las Vegas, Sushi Samba in Miami, and Baren in Medellín. In Europe, he has graced legendary venues such as Café del Mar, Ashram, Privilege, and Cbbc in Ibiza, holding residencies across Tenerife, Italy, and Amsterdam. Recently, Alessandro released his first EP, One Week in Paradise, with Dialtone Records. This project, telling the story of a person navigating different life stages, has been met with enthusiasm and allowed him to connect with like-minded music creators. He is working on several new projects with world-class artists and is excited to share these upcoming releases with his audience. Influenced by industry giants like Sasha, Sébastien Léger, Lee Burridge, and orchestral maestros Hans Zimmer and Aaron Zigman, Alessandro's music seamlessly creates a rich and emotive listening experience.
