Die Tage werden Stück für Stück ein wenig länger und sonniger und mit dem besseren Wetter kommt auch die Neugierde für das leben da draußen wieder :) Um euch heute den Sonntag etwas zu versüßen, strecken wir unsere Ohren in Richtung München und lassen uns heute von einer jungen Dame mitreisen, die ihr Handwerk versteht und auch gerne weiß in der Kirche trägt :D

- wie kam es dazu : für den 30. eines Kumpels habe ich mithilfe von Youtube auflegen gelernt und mein Set von der Party aufgenommen. Besagtes Set habe ich dann auf Soundcloud hochgeladen und ein Monat später bei einem Open Call für eine Party des Bushbash Kollektivs eingereicht. Zu meiner großen Überraschung, Freude und noch größerem Schock wurde mein Set ausgewählt und ich durfte dann im Bahnwärter Thiel auflegen :D So fing dann alles an.

- so sehe ich meine musikalische Zukunft : ich möchte einfach weiterhin meine Musik mit Menschen teilen, bei denen sie ankommt. Ich bin eh schon geflasht, wie viel im letzten Jahr passiert ist und freue mich auf alles, was noch kommt - lasse es aber bewusst offen und genieße einfach die Reise.

- was stört mich an der Szene (was würde ich ändern)  : hässliches Thema, aber: unterschwelliger Konkurrenzdruck – egal ob zwischen DJs oder zwischen Kollektiven. Ich glaube, die Szene könnte viel stärker sein, wenn mehr Zusammenhalt und Kooperation im Vordergrund stehen würden.

- das will ich noch loswerden : seid lieb zueinander! Ich glaube viele unterschätzen, was sie mit aufrichtiger Nettigkeit in anderen Menschen auslösen und bewirken können.

Actually, Kork always was a musician. At the age of about 8, he held the violin in his
hands for the first time. This instrument should be his constant companion for the next
ten years. His believe in quality playing tirelessly over and over till he succeeded formed
his entire personality, present till today.

He found his second passion at a young age – the electronic dance music. Two years
after starting with progressive house, he left and let himself be overwhelmed by deep
house music at concerts of Boss Axis, Jan Blomqvist, or Fritz and Paul Kalkbrenner. Kork
was founded, and real soon he got attention by the electronic music scene, correctly as
he was very successful in combining Deep House, Tech-House, and Techno music with
his very own melodic touch.

With his premiere at the Soundwave Radio FM station in London, he breached the record
by reaching 16k listeners. Broadcasting weekly, his live podcast was listened in over 80
countries simultaneously. He decided to leave the spot in 2016 to focus more on own
productions. Furthermore, he joined the collective “Deep Stories,” which got famous by
its exclusive podcasts with more than 50k followers – known all over the world.
As a DJ, he creates a musical sphere where everyone can express themselves freely. To
share this experience globally, he organizes shows around the world and connects with
his audience.
Today, he is one of the managers of Deep Stories, which comprises a record label, artist
management, podcast channel, and a monthly radio show.

Kork is also performing at Flows Festival this year, 11-15th of June (www.flowsfestival.com)

This time with the DJ and producer duo Susi&Paula from Hamburg.

BIO
Susi&Paula are a queer DJ and producer duo from Hamburg, who belong to the queer
feminist collective ‘crew.port’ which created the event series ‘DONNAWETTER’ and have
been playing in clubs for over 2 years now. Including Südpol, Sisyphos, Katerblau, Renate, Watergate,Odonien and others.

Their style is characterized by dirty and rolling Tech House to deep and driving Indie Dance with the right dose of bounce and humor.

With their sets the couple creates a contagious atmosphere, engages the crowd and fascinates and excites people with their use of catchy vocals, dirty basses and groovy melodies.

Susi&Paula produce and play their own tracks and are happy to share even more unreleased projects throughout the year.

The two girls want to inspire people with their sound and create safe spaces for everyone.

LOCi lives in Munich and is the resident DJ of the Blütezeit Kollektiv. His sets are genre-fluid and move between Afrohouse, Indie Dance, Techhouse and Techno. His premise is: driving bass, lots of percussion or a dark surprise alongside the happy O-tone. In this way, he creates an atmosphere that shows the diversity of electronic music and allows the dancers to lose themselves in the moment.
We became aware of Loci through his wonderful set at last year's Wurzelfestival, which also made it into our “best of festival playlist”. Enjoy the deep story from LOCi!

At the age of 14 the Doubljuh started to experiment with his first DJ setup until mixing music with vinyl became his second nature. His first attempts were characterized by Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission), Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) and especially Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski). Early on a varied House style with groovy melodies and catchy vocals arose. He impressed his audience first as a newcomer of the Tectrex Crew and performed as Resident DJ in the show „Rookie Freaks“ via the Tectrex Webstream. His opinion about electronic music fundamentally changed in summer 2013 after his visits to legendary festivals such as Fusion and Kazantip, which included a short performance. He got to know and love melodic Deep House, which strongly shaped his music style since that time. Now the familiar groovy House beats take turns with soft parts and enchant the audience with frisky melodies of the violin and the piano. This results in fresh sounds, which are still highly characterized by catchy vocals.In 2015, he founded the DJ collective “deep stories” together with Kork, which is very successful with its podcast series on Soundcloud thanks to its innovative concept. He is currently on tour in Hamburg and Berlin with the deep stories showcase.
