A true classic named after the club that first debuted it, Spiller’s ‘Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)’ featuring Sophie Ellis-Bextor has earned itself the ‘timeless’ title in more ways than one. Originally released in 2000 and acquired by @DefectedRecords over two decades later, the chart-topping anthem has had a magnificent revival following Purple Disco Machine & Lorenz Rhode’s rework along with Italian club don Riva Starr’s storming remix package. With @Glitterboxibiza now taking the reins, they’ve placed the record in the safe hands of funk synthesist @Harvey-Sutherland, ensuring the track is elevated even further. Under his nom de plume Mike Katz began to make international waves from the twenty-teens with a series of 12” releases and hails from Australia’s bubbling electronic underground scene. With Sutherland’s splendid synths and funk-furthering influence, the familiar tenor of Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s vocal rings through and you’re home again; simply with a fresh perspective.

Premiere: Spiller 'Groovejet (Harvey Sutherland Remix)'

Swedish DJ/producer Martin Brodin shares a groovy remix from Kraak & Smaak of his single 'Don't Stop The Dance', a dancefloor worthy rendition of Bryan Ferry's original of the same name from 1985. With Martin's love of music fully forming in the 80s, the track and the remix is an homage to his roots.
 
With a silky bassline and addicting cowbell and drum hits, Kraak & Smaak put an all—encompassing groove into their version of 'Don't Stop The Dance'. A suave guitar riff can be heard throughout, morphing and bending through various effects, keeping us on our toes. The echoing vocals take us back to another time, and waves of nostalgia are sure to fire up the dancefloor.

Short BIO

Martin Brodin is a Swedish DJ, producer, and most importantly a music lover. Martin is the force behind MB Disco. Founded in 2010, the label has released remixes of Newcleus and Giorgio Moroder, Brodin’s debut LP and new material from Psychemagik, Ray Mang and others. The MB Edits sub-label was launched in 2013, well ahead of the current edits trend.

Before MB Disco, Martin ran Deeplay Music and Deeplay Soultec. Deeplay Music was a key Deep House label, whilst Deeplay Soultec did what the name suggests. Brodin’s labels have always been an outlet for his own music, but he has also released tracks on imprints such as Southern Fried, Compost, Buzzin Fly and Nang. 

Martin’s productions have appeared on mix CDs from DJs as diverse as Carl Cox, Nick Warren, Andrew Weatherall and Claude VonStroke. As a remixer, Martin’s highlights are his revisions of Sky by Human League for Wall of Sound, Giorgio Moroder’s the Chase and Visage’s She’s Electric. His first DJ mix CD was compilation of the month in IDJ Magazine, back in 2005. As a DJ, Martin has played everywhere from London to Tokyo.

In terms of influences, his serious interest in music began in the 1980s, captivated by the likes of Yello, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk. Martin found House music through Lil Louis’ French Kiss in the early 1990s. His passion for Disco began with First Choice’s Dr Love. Today, Martin Brodin is still an active producer, DJ and label boss.

Mikael Surdi was part of the Swedish deep-jazzy-house act "Physics". They were big in the scene in the early-mid 2000's. Their music was championed by people like Francois K, Bruno from Ibiza, Dimitri From Paris and many more. Their music featured on million selling compilatons such as Hotel Costes and MInistry Of Sound

Behind the alter ego "Ultratube", there is a tremendously curious person with an obsession to constantly investigate new music, new structures and sounds that take him to another emotional state.

His sincere musical passion began to develop in the mid-90s, bathing himself in styles where distorted guitars predominated such as Indie Rock, Punk, Noise, Shoegaze, Indie Pop or Dream Pop, among others. In love with powerful bases and heavenly melodies.

At the beginning of 2000, contact with electronic music began through Techno, of a more minimalist and hypnotic style, with people like Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills or Josh Wink among others. Already in the mid and late 2000s, he began to have contact with more melodic and atmospheric styles, such as Progressive House, influenced by people like John Digweed, Sasha or Hernan Cattaneo.

Around the year 2022, he falls in love with Disco in its most cosmic and spatial aspect (where he also plays Dark Disco, Italo Disco, Indie Dance, New Beat, Acid, Progressive, etc...).

He usually plays at El Barbero Club (Palma de Mallorca). One of the reference clubs in the city in terms of quality electronics with more than 30 years of experience.

The mixes he creates are usually journeys through hypnotic, narcotic, lysergic and melodic-melancholic sounds where they come together to create a rise in the listener's emotional intensity.

El trío neerlandés Tending Tropic firma aquí un corte techno melódico de precisión casi quirúrgica, donde los arpegios hipnóticos dibujan una narrativa de escape y disolución. El término japonés que da título al track —los que desaparecen sin dejar rastro— encuentra su reflejo sonoro en una estructura que se construye y se evapora sin aviso, entre capas sintéticas y una base rítmica implacable.

Behind Plaisir de France stands Julien Barthe — producer, arranger, and DJ — spreading musical pleasure across France and the world since 1993. A true craftsman of the French electronic scene, he’s known for his elegant blend of pop, dance, and club culture. In 2023, he celebrated 20 years of creation with a monumental 20-track album featuring 17 iconic French voices, including Barbara Carlotti, Bertrand Belin, Arnold Turboust, Valli, Alex Rossi, and Régina Demina. His music has also inspired remixes by Damon Jee, Tim Paris, Badknife, Polo Corp (Polo & Pan), Rework, and more. Parallel to this, he continues to develop his other project, SLOVE, with Léo Hellden, whose third album, Le Fly, was released in 2024.

With "French Pleasure", Plaisir de France drops a three-track house EP crafted for the dancefloor and DJs alike. These tracks are built as tributes to the timeless 90s club sets — progressive, filtered, and euphoric — yet infused with today’s sonic textures.

Drama: a subtle underground anthem, stripped-down yet powerful, echoing endless nights and secret clubs.

His serious interest in music began during the early 1980s, a decade in which he grooved to the sounds of Yello, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk. Martin became instantly hooked on House music when he heard Lil Louis’ French Kiss in the early 1990s. His passion for Disco began with First Choice’s Dr Love.

A champion of the re-emergence of Disco, Martin Brodin founded MB Disco in 2010. This label has released music from the likes of Psychemagik, Ray Mang and Chicken Lips, as well as Brodin’s debut album. Leroy Burgess featured on one release and Martin has put out updated remixes of classics by Newcleus and Giorgio Moroder. The MB Edits sub-label was launched in 2013, well ahead of the current edits trend. 

Before MB Disco, Martin Brodin ran labels that were important in the development of Deep House and Tech House. His Deeplay Music label championed Soulful flavours from the likes of Physics, Jask,  Rurals and Dalminjo, whilst Deeplay Soultec released music by Martinez, Jori Hulkkonen, Guy Gerber, Noir and Tiger Stripes (as 12th Floor) amongst others. 

Martin Brodin has released music on labels such as Southern Fried, Buzzin Fly, Compost, Buzzin Fly and Nang, as well as his own imprints. His tracks have been remixed by the likes of Spencer Parker, diskJokke, Bottin and Faze Action. Brodin’s productions caught the ears of DJs like Carl Cox, Nick Warren, Andrew Weatherall and Claude VonStroke, who included Martin’s music on their mix CDs. 

As a remixer, three moments stand out for Martin.  The first was when he was asked to remix Human League’s Sky, which was released on Wall Of Sound. The second was his revision of Giorgio Moroder’s 1978 classic, The Chase. The third was the remix he did of She’s Electric by legendary synth band Visage.

His first DJ mix CD was compilation of the month in IDJ Magazine, back in 2005. As a DJ, Martin has played everywhere from London to Tokyo.
