We expected Evan Shornstein aka Photay to come through with some eclectic selections for his Bleep exclusive mix, and he doesn’t disappoint. The prodigious musician and producer’s fascinations lie with different modes of hypnotism — from the grainy micro-ambient of On Hold to the outsider electronica of Waking Hours — and the broad spectrum of influences on this mix showcases his truly voracious tastes. Homegrown virtuoso Eversines spent some time with us in March for our residency at BIT. Before the club night, however, the DJ/producer paid a visit to the notorious Operator Radio headquarters for our returning radio show. What came out was a muscular, clubby yet subtly crafted mix.
