Undertow is an original song that tells a story by making an analogy between being taken away by a surprising, frightening ocean undertow and being wonderfully saved by a surprising, relentless love. This is another project that started with a simple live recording that Nat then fashioned into a more polished final outcome.

Then Stephen totally funkified it with guitar, Uziel gave a stellar performance on vocals with some original lyrics, and Jeff and I contributed just the right amount of weirdness. In a basement completely sheltered from noise and the outside world, without telephones or internet, I was able to reasonably compose around fifteen titles without any interference. This isolation will remain a beneficial event in more than one way.

Dans un sous-sol complètement à l'abri du bruit et du monde extérieur, sans téléphone ni internet, j'ai pu raisonnablement composer une quinzaine de titres sans aucune interférence. Cet isolement restera un événement bénéfique à plus d’un titre.
