The first episode of the OVER THE MOON Label Series, featuring ENCOUNTERS with this studio mix titled "Free World". In 2021, for DJ Maggie's birthday, Evan Bluetech came forward with a special idea: starting the label "Over the Moon." He recognized that Maggie had the perfect mix of skills for running a record label. Her keen sense for picking out gems in the downtempo genre, coupled with her vast network of artist relationships, made her an ideal choice. While Evan initially collaborated on the label's foundation, he's since stepped into an advisory role, providing insights while DJ Maggie takes the helm as the driving force behind Over the Moon. ENCOUNTERS is the brainchild of Tyler Hovestadt, a producer based in the Bay Area. With a unique style that blends ambient, downtempo, and live percussion, Encounters explores the intersection of organic musicality and electronic experimentation. About the mix, Encounters says: "In celebration of the recent release of my remix album, 'A Path Beyond Remixed', I've curated this mix to provide a serene and tranquil experience—much needed in the trying times we find ourselves in. Featuring tracks from Over the Moon Music and its sister label, Behind the Sky, the mix also includes some of my own unreleased music. My aim is to offer a musical respite that allows listeners to momentarily escape the challenges and stresses of the world by embracing a soothing and calming atmosphere."
