A very special treat for number seventy two. Presenting a live recording of DJ Camov's set at my favourite party in Naarm, Tech World, last month. Grant soundtracked the sunny February afternoon with a boss selection of the classiest house, tech house and prog records... 

Grant is a Melb deejay icon, having frequented clubs, raves and park parties for the last decade in a chameleon like fashion. He now resides in Copenhagen and also djs under his deep diving trance alias @goasis

So excited to share one this one, one of my favourite club sets as of late!

Animix Seventy Two: DJ Camov (Live @ Techworld)

This mix was recorded in my studio on Friday 23/5-2014. Its goes from some older Deep House tunes into more modern minimalistic funk and some Chicago Techno to round thing off. Its made for no particular reason what so ever, I simply just felt like listening to and mix these records and pressed record while doing it. As always, its recorded with just two turntables and a mixer. Enjoy!

Martinez returns to Concealed Sounds and delivers a wicked two track 12" of that deep hypnotising sound that we know him for of late. This record kicks off with "The Path" a 10 min journey though sub bass, glitchy rhythms and haunting high pitched sounds. A perfect tune for that late hours on the dance floor! On the B side we find "Wigflipped" a twisted little number of minimalistic funk. Cut up voices, bleeps, broken rhythms and a light but powerful kick drum make up the foundation of this track. The kick drums switches constantly between 4/4 and breakbeat, making the main groove ever developing. A bit into this 14 min piece some dark rhodes chords are taking over leading it forward. With its swirling and hypnotising feeling through out, its a perfect tune for the after hour. As always we have something extra hidden on this vinyl… We hope you will enjoy this 12" as much as we at the Concealed Sounds office has.

For the first time in our 25-year history, we are releasing a live solo recording by Craig Richards from the club. 

“This mix was recorded on the second of December at a Continuum party. I commenced just after five and finished at nine. The heady combination of nostalgia coupled with the past, the future and more importantly my daughter dancing next to me, resulted in a mix that I felt happy with. Historically, I have been very self-critical and have chosen not to release many mixes. Across nearly four hours this one seems to encapsulate the twenty five years of playing at fabric. In 1998 I was invited by Keith Reilly to play weekly at what was an imaginary nightclub. I had no idea that experience would continue for so many years. Playing vinyl on that sound system and mixer is highly exciting and a joy in itself. I am delighted that this has been my method of sonic communication and remain deeply grateful for my ongoing residency.” - Craig Richards

This mix is a collection of Tracks from 2000 and before , Given as birthday present to dandy jack . It was not mixed by Ricardo Villalobos  but it's his selection of Vinyls that   were recorded on a tape to present it to  Dandy in Berlin the 21 of May . The compilation was  mixed after digitalising the tape  by Dandy Jack using only this records.  It's 24 Years ago ! Enjoy

"For this fabric mix, I wanted to stay true to my vision of a DJ set: a selection blending unreleased tracks from UK producers, never-heard tunes from close friends, a few old school gems, and some fresh new releases that really speak to me.

The idea was to craft a mix I could actually play in a club. The hardest part? Trying not to get lost listening to all the unreleased stuff instead of focusing on the mix itself — so much exciting music, it was almost cruel to choose.

I recorded this mix using the Euphonia rotary mixer, which I absolutely love. It brings a different feel to the mix — smoother, deeper, more tactile.

Big thanks to fabric for the trust, and to everyone who contributed to this mix in one way or another.

Biography: 
Martin Swanstein, better known as Martinez, is a Swedish/Danish House Music & Techno DJ/Producer currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Nowadays, he is well known for his releases and remixes on his own label: Concealed Sounds, as well as Minibar, Lomidhigh, Aeternum, NervMusic, Cadenza, Oslo, Tied, Memoria and many more. Martinez first release, that kick started his carrier in 2000, was his "Laidback Grooves EP" on the notorious chicago based Deep-House label Guidance Recordings.
