This is a landmark piece in the history of minimalism. In his version Martí has decided to imitate Lucier's stuttering, a fact that is mentioned at the end of the text.

La noche del 8 de noviembre de 2013, profesores y alumnos del Máster en Arte Sonoro UB tuvimos ocasión de acompañaar al artista Alan Nakawa para realizar unas grabaciones en la Sagrada Familia. 
Josep Cerdà, aprovechó para realizar una serie de grabaciones del silencio del espacio mediante una cabeza binaural. La finalidad fué demostrar que esta obra de Gaudí se comporta acusticamente como un gran instrumento musical.

Sonido de artefacto sonoro con caja de aislamiento y tres tubos de diferentes tamaños. Cada tubo tiene una compuerta de metal en su salida. La compuerta varía la apertura, modificando el sonido dependiendo de la longitud del tubo y la apertura de la compuerta.

The purpose of the piece was to stimulate the natural resonant frequencies of a room, by playing and recording a self explanatory text over and over, until the resonance built up stationary waves. I decided to use the original sound of Lucier's voice, (dry locution to the mic, before any interaction with the room) and play it over and over as he did, but in three different spaces, to witness how much the room acoustics would change the development and final result. The timing of blurring words and appearance of sustained tones were different on each space. I hope you enjoy listening to the three recreations, and comparing it to Lucier's original room.The purpose of this recreation was not commercial  in any way, but purely experimental, for the sake of education and research in room acoustics. 
The Metabolic Studio in LA hosted me at A.Quincy Jones' Barn for some weeks, so I thank them for that amazing chance.
