Liminal Tones is my first album, a rough exploration of transitional periods. It deals with loss, changes, self questioning and death in its many forms. It's about being in that purgatorial state of limbo so deep in the middle of the tunnel that the light at the end of it all is nothing but an abstract thought.

Tri Tones is the third album in a series. This one explores feelings of love both in terms of falling in love with one's self and rediscovering feelings of love with the surrounds and people in them. It's a convergence on the styles and themes of the two previous albums with a much more hopeful overtone to it. I wanted to create something that really shows the light and shadow of a flame that's finally sparked back to life.

Architecture is about inner constructs - the way we fit within ourselves, within love, within the world. It's a look at the structures in place, the ways we have to either fortify, demolish, rebuild, or add onto the interior and exterior landscapes of who we are.

Some sounds inspire a vision of a colorful landscape and I saw orange and teal while making this. Twilight, the coolness of the night colors approaching as the dramatic warmth of dusk gives one last spectacle. 
As the album sedates into its nocturnal notes, it soon again rises at the end with the same foray of color to conclude things on a bright note.

Pain stacking up a little to high upon this mantle
I feel for once like I don’t know quite how to handle
All the grief that is inside me that I’m trying to dismantle 
Every obstacle I jump without a head start is scrambled 
And the body that is doing it is left in a shambles 
I’m not a strategist enough to plan all 
The routes out of situations that I’m in 
Common sense is saying "Try not to give in." 
But this doesn’t feel like I am living

From the crack of dawn it’s hustling, it’s always fucking rushing me.    
With so much opportunity yet it all feels like it’s crushing me 
Can I put my trust in me 
Depend on me to be who I know I’m meant to be
Easy to said but never easily done 
Do I even remember having fun?

My rage at my otherness has turned into a loaded gun 
Pointed at my own face and ready to blow Is this the lowest low? 
Anywhere left to go? 
Can I rearrange the things that feel wrong? 
Can I fix it all by writing a song? 
Do I start dismantling my thoughts or my feelings or my history or current dealings 
Do I dress the wounds I have from long ago?
Or do I fix the ones from current accidents of life that cut me to the bone? 
The ones that seem to break and disfigure the shape of my soul?  
Common sense is saying try not to give in 
But it doesn’t feel like I am living.
