Soft Love Piano Instrumental - Espérer

I have been on that Ludovico Einaudi Concert recently when I gazed up the sky while they played and there was that dove flying in the sparkling sun.... A magic moment and I wanted to catch and treasure this moment in a song. Fortune wanted that Pascale Scarabin contacted me the same weekend and so we started out this collab together with Kayll Frappier who added such a wonderful and heartfelt Viola to it.

I am so happy that all this is possible on the web.... I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did !

This reflective, tuneful album is a collection of beautiful piano music written and performed by Ola Gjeilo. His music is a blend of jazz, classical and popular music influences, married in a unique and passionate style. The evocative melodies and harmonies of Stone Rose are sure to captivate listeners from the first hearing.

Many of the tracks are expressions of Ola's deep love for New York City, where he lives and maintains his highly successful career as a composer and pianist. This is a piano waltz that I started composing last year but failing to find that "special song" adapted to be the music to accompany the first dance of my wife and I at our recent wedding. It had to be slowed down to make it danceable, but it definitely made our first dance even more special.

I wrote this a couple of nights ago when a friend and colleague where I work had been made redundant - and I had no idea if I would still have a job when I went back into work the next day.

I couldn't think of an appropriate title - so I ran a competition where people could suggest names... and I got some great responses. My favourite was "...and the moon dreamed of greater things" by Tym (https://soundcloud.com/tymh).
