Verse 1:
People did pour to Tullamore to the Ploughing Championships. 
They park on roads, in fields and lanes and the odd one on the ditch.
Well the rush is on from the crack of dawn eating sandwiches from the boot, 
When they swap the Kelly’s’ for a pair of wellies and sat nav the fastest route. 

Verse 2:
There are Cars and Tractors, Diggers and Trucks, some do buy and some just look. 
There’s sheds and animals, houses and stalls and new inventions as they demonstrate and all. 
There’s music, food, bars and dance and fun fair rides if you dare to chance.
There’s leaflets, sweets and games and toys for the big and small girls and boys. 

Verse 3:
And not forgetting the mighty ploughs, they turn the fields from crop to soil. 
The 1 score, 10 score and every width, there’s one’s you drag and one’s you lift.
They drive up and down till the field is brown over this three-day test and at the end of a hundred acres they do pick the best.

Chorus
We love to pack and head for the craic to the Ploughing Championships. 
Where we walk around and gobble down free food and bags of chips.
It is a good test even for the best, so make sure you take time to sit, when you fill a backpack and you want to make it back, make sure you buy a stick.

Hailing from Castleblayney Co Monaghan, Marty exploded onto the Irish & UK’s music scene in Dec 2014 with his single ‘Hit The Diff’, which went on to amass millions of views on YouTube to date. Self-recorded and produced, the track (along with the video that he shot, edited and self-directed), spring boarded his success and catapulted him into the limelight. His debut album followed soon after, an original 10-track affair that was also entirely written, recorded and produced by himself which included “Slip The Clutch” and his best known slow song “Better than a Dream” which is famously used at a lot of first dances at weddings.
