"Weightlessness" for chamber ensemble is inspired by the works of Stanisław Lem and celebrates the centenary of his birth in 2021. The piece takes up the theme of weightlessness and specific thinking about the relationship between the pressures described in music - "heaviness of composed sounds" and their dispersion in the acoustic space. The composer is inspired in particular by the descriptions of space and gravitations that occurred on the surface of Venus in Stanisław Lem's book" Astronauts ", which are the subject to personal musical interpretation and reflection.

About Track:
"Baharan Khojasteh Bad” or “Blessed Spring" is the name of one of the first and one of the most famous revolutionary hymns that was broadcast on Iranian radio and television after the 1979 revolution and the fall of the imperial system (Pahlavi regime) in commemoration of the anniversary of the return of Khomeini to Iran. During the first 40 days following the death of Mahsa Amini on September 16th 2022 many hymns and revolutionary songs were written in support of the uprising and the Woman, Life, Freedom movement that called for a revolution against the islamic regime and the end of gender apartheid and freedom. One of these songs was a cover of "Baharan Khojasteh Bad" which conserved the melody but changed the lyrics to chant the names of the girl's like Mahsa Amini and Nika Shakarami who's tragic death symbolize the true fascist and myogenic face of the regime. The new cover also chants the name of Vida Movahed who sparked anti-hijab protests in Iran in 2018 by waving her white scarf like a flag. I fell in love with this cover because not only did it honor the young girls and women who were at the forefront of this revolution but it also put a hand on the 1979 revolution which was hiijacked from it’s democratic course to reappropriate it. So I chose to work this song and named it “Be Mahsa, Be Nika” which means “In the name of Mahsa, in the name of Nika”.This revolution is accompanied by horrific acts of violence and torture on behalf of the Iranian regime, the news of which we follow on social media everyday. I thought it necessary to make a track to honour the bravery of the iranian people who are fighting this regime and fuel it with powerful and uplifting energy. It deliberately sounds as if I m singing through a megaphone during a protest. Something simple and innocent about the beat keeps it light. Only with light can we defy this darkness… Woman, Life, Freedom.

Ludus Consonus X is the last piece from the “Ludus Consonus” series, which are the studies for different element of music such as texture, modal system, rhythmic structures and many more.

This particular piece is especially composed for ensemble Klangforum Wien to be performed during IMPULS Academy/Festival in Graz, Austria, which took place in February 2015.

Ludus Consonus X is composed in the form of Theme and Variations. The idea came from Alfred Schnittke’s “Varations on one chord” for piano solo. But in case of Ludus Consonus X I have decided to make three variations only on one tone. First Variation is a sonoristic sound-field based only on the “E” tone, which leads attacca to the second variation. This one is based on the spectral technique of composing, with the overtones and subtones of note “E” used in different partial stretches. The third variation appears after a short bridge. I used there my personal techniques of composing which are connected more to the Iranian modal music with polyrhythmic patterns, shown in different instruments. Of course here as well the modal center is note “E”.
The piece is dedicated to Martyna Kosecka.

Muye I (Lamentation) is the first from the new series of compositions I started to work on in 2016. I began to research the Lamentation songs and traditions of the different regions of Iran, which have never caught the interest of any composer before here in Iran.

This first piece of the cycle is specially composed and dedicated to AUDITIVVOKAL DRESDEN. I used Persian modal systems and got inspired by the vocal techniques of one of the Iranian nomad tribes, who live in the western part of Iran and in the lands around the Zagros Mountains.
