Whilst festivals and open airs blossom all around Berlin and the rest of Europe, we invite our friend Adam The Observer to take over this month's episode of our podcast series.

Adam The Observer is an independent artist and DJ with roots in Western Poland.

Throughout the years, he was involved in shaping the cultural programme and multidisciplinary initiatives in Amsterdam, Berlin, and his motherland - Poland. Since 2018, as a selector, he has been a guest of various European radio shows and venues. 

As a producer, he got featured on ‚Cut the Wire' compilation organised by the @Oramics collective. He focuses on extensive research with the intention to combine various inspirations into a multi-themed narrative.

For Loser Records he recorded this amazing, almost 90 minute long mix, which feels excitingly different and serves a mix of different genres apart from the four to the floor uniformity you might be used to. We say thank you to Adam and hope you enjoy the mix as much as we do!

Thousand Springs’’ is a warm-hearted EP from Munich producer San Quentin featuring 3 tracks outfitted for vibrant summer gatherings including a remix from psychedelic Trance extraordinaire Anatolian Weapons. In his latest transmissions San Quentin summons utopian skies and tripped sunsets with his tracks “Milfontes” and the more punchy “Der Grottenolm”. “Milfontes” features flanged out cosmic breaks, bubbly Arp sequences, and heartfelt fluttering pads. It’s packed with emotion and oozes optimism and positivity. “Der Grottenolm” first gives off dusty old Roland sounds with its 909 and 707 drums and a dark saw bass line later contrasting with a joyful organ straight from early-proghouse heaven. Finally, Anatolian Weapons Remix of “Milfontes” transitions the vibe from sunset to a endless Delphic night as he takes you on a 10-minute enigmatic journey.   Release Date -July 30th

Temptation came in many shapes and forms, it was how you dealt with those occurrences that showed your character and  integrity. Whether it was a glutinous dinner, an indulgent purchase or a wandering eye, these were things that could strike at any moment. Some temptations could be flirted with, others could be entertained in moderation but on some occasions you'd be dancing with the devil; dancing in the garden of lust.

In 2016 Dalmata Daniel came into the world with the helping hand of Dutch DJ and producer DJ Overdose. He set the tone for the Hungarian label with his 05 Poly 800 Loop EP and made another contribution to their catalogue in 2019 with a split release alongside Sematic4. Powers of Ten marks lucky number three, and another trip through Overdose's raw, crunchy sound world. Backed up by a remix from local producer and label mate J.Mono, the three original analog tracks are a fusion of EBM, electro and old school vocoder disco.

It had been several days since they'd had contact; with each one that passed time seemed to drag, minutes felt like hours and hours felt like days. It seemed like the only solution to their ongoing feud, nothing else had worked for them - time and space was the only way to heal the wounds, if they could be healed at all. It took a lot of will power to stop themselves from connecting... Picking up their phones, flicking through one another's social media accounts, passing each other's houses - it had become ingrained; it was muscle memory.

Loss marks the fourth album from Tokyo-based Bristolian A Taut Line, and his first full length record in over five years. Set for release on his own label Diskotopia, which he co-helms with BD1982, the music represents a smattering of his influences, from dub techno, funk and trip hop to acid, ambient and jungle, all thrown into a pot and stirred up good and proper. Like the title of the LP suggests, the theme of loss contextualises the 12 tracks which for the first time feature A Taut Line's vocals and a palpable sense of expansiveness that has long characterised his output.

Krishna Goineau is well known for his starring role in ‘Los Niños del Parque’ with Liaisons Dangereuses and in other projects such as Velodrome and Xeroox. Through one of his friends we have been lucky enough to receive a hard disk on which there are a variety of unreleased tracks by Krishna Goineau with MCL (Micro Cheap League) recorded in the year 85-86. Krishna lived in Barcelona at that time and was involved in different groups while traveling through Germany and Belgium to create new projects. After dissolving Liaisons Dangereuses in 1983 Krishna started a new project with MCL where you can identify the essence and influences that he had at that time, touches of EBM and metal synthesizers with vocals in Spanish as in the track ” No Information ” These tracks are preserved in excellent quality in which Alden Tyrell has done the mastering on vinyl and digital. Having something like this is like finding a treasure in the middle of a secret island. To finalize the release we have edits from Silent Servant, Curses, Esprit Divers. Deckard & Lucient.

Mysticisms continues its global journey with an EP of previously unreleased ethereal House meets IDM by Romania’s HAN aka Dan Handrabur, taken from his early studio recordings, 1991-95.
Born in Bucharest, Handrabur’s music talents began with violin and classical training, leading to a scholarship at the Conservatoire de Geneve at just 16. An even earlier fascination with tapes machines and manipulation, furthered from listening to Radio Free Europe, led to seeking more experimental and contemporary sounds, obtaining a Korg Polisix, Roland TR606 Beat Box and TEAC deck while still in his teens.
Soon hanging around record stores, meeting DJs and securing a residency at Geneva’s landmark, Club 58, he dropped out of studies to pursue the dream of producing. After links were made and a relocation to Vancouver, Canada, his first release – as ‘X Drone’ with Adham Shaikh – in ‘93, led Handrabur to become an integral part of the City’s electronic scene, with dozens of collaborations and releases across a myriad of respected labels, from Harthouse, Exist Dance, Eye Q Records and many more, plus a notably, close relationship with the legendary Phil Western.
The sole HAN release appeared on Interchill Records in ‘98, going on to be a collector’s item that saw a recent, timely repress. The music on “Reflections” comes from the similar space, a timeframe that combines a mastery of Ambient and House textures.
Opening with Floating, featuring the vocals of partner Cristina, captures the essence perfectly. Ethereal and uplifting, with the well placed optimism of the period as this new music movement was mutating. Echoes of the UK post-rave sound is evident, a pulsing 303 and piano counter, a gentle melodic adventure over tight breakbeats.
The title track is a deeper, darker affair, closer to Handrabur and Western’s seminal ’93 ‘Frequencies From The Edge Of The Tektonic Plate’ album, as well a nod to The Drum Club and the post-British Prog House sound.
The B side takes on the “Ambient House” lost genre with the swirling oscillations and beats of Phantasme, a companion to fellow travelers, Pilgirms Of The Mind’s “Subtropique”, before Give In And Resist channels floating arpeggios and vocal samples, a la Irresistible Force,’s “Rising High”; closing another chapter of Handrabur’s archival releases that continue to captivate DJs and collectors ears in equal abandon.
