@zeanmusic returns after a long hiatus with a mini EP titled 'Still Here', released under GR Recordings. Following his 2017 release 'Yong Fu Road' on Push & Pull, this marks his first official solo EP. 'Still Here' distinguishes itself from ZEAN's typical club dance style, as the two tracks beautifully fuse Wave, Downtempo, Leftfield, and Ambient elements. This EP delicately constructs a nostalgic journey through its serene melodies, showcasing ZEAN's versatility beyond the dancefloor.

Know V.A. presents Strange Days, a monthly residency at Echobox. Experimental electronics that are rooted in club music, ranging from hard dance to ambient. Strange Days is hosted by duo Know V.A. - occasionally inviting guests that are involved in the experimental club scene.

This month: Know V.A. - the long-standing Amsterdam duo are one of the Netherlands’ forefront explorers of genre bending club music. Pulling influences from their youths spent at hardcore and rave parties, and an immense love for U.K. bass, their range is boundless and their music and DJ sets burst with dynamics. Their musical versatility puts them at home at illegal raves, major festivals like Lowlands and Defqon.1, electronic arts festivals like Fiber Festival or Prague’s Lunchmeat, BBC 1Xtra, NTS and Asia’s underground nightclubs.

Originally released as part of Catartsis & Ōtone’s “Mechanical Gesture” split EP in 2020 on Obscuur Records and reissued as a 12” record in 2021, Ōtone’s “Slice” has since been summoned into the sets and ears of a myriad of DJs and dancers. Today the track’s distinctive slitting timbres are back with eight remixes, each playfully shaping the original cut into unique percussive hybrids. The result is an eclectic gathering of breakbeat, techno, and hyperpop chimaeras through which recordings of cutting engines swirl anew thanks to the craft of Sister Zo, Go Hiyama, Lara David, Yogg, Neve, and Catartsis.

My second release with the alias Guenter Råler was released on 20th October via Bene Tleilax, a label that I love run by a mastermind and dear friend Serena Butler.

It is available in limited tape and digital, distributed courtesy of Lobster Theremin.

For their second installment, more human than human Bene Tleilax imprint choose a real, hidden talent from the endless submerged underworld. Guenter Raler is a young tleilaxu with a strong attitude for mutations and blending realities, where weightless grime and post-techno convive with a singular taste for contaminated ghost malwares and delicate non-binary trajectories. Mobile Energy is a journey into digitally-represented emotions, drowned into a shapeless reality. The ep is an overwhelming and transforming flux of music, a comfortable space filled by neon lights. The boundaries of Guenter Råler’s music are blurred: no predicted end, no repetition.

Ocho canciones surgidas de la presunta contradicción entre lo orgánico y lo electrónico. Generando una extraña convivencia de sonidos, estados y sentimientos totalmente diferentes entre sí, encaminando el aparente caos de la concepción del álbum hacia el puzzle narrativo que es Sinda [SWT017].

With the will of exploring the connection and intersection between the natural and digital worlds, Marco Henri debuts in SWEAT with Sinda [SWT017].

Pianos, metallic pulses and a defiant sound design are interlaced with recordings of animal howls, resampled and processed with overwhelming stretch skills.

Eight songs that arise from the alleged contradiction between the organic and the electronic. Generating a strange coexistence of sounds, moods and feelings totally independent from each other, taking the apparent chaos of the album’s concept, to the narrative puzzle that is Sinda [SWT017].
