In this EP titled “Back", Lawir explores the UK Garage genre. Through three tracks, we travel into a club atmosphere, blending elements of 2-step, house and bass music. With this second EP, Lawir signs the first release of Kwidam Records and further develops his musical style.

Downplay is proud to welcome back Jack Selecta to the label for the producer’s sophomore release, ‘Visions’.

‘Ends’ centres around a cheeky sample extolling the widespread nature of the scene’s culture across the country, wrapped up in a tight 2-step framework. Chest-rattling bass and sugar sweet strings complete the composition for a future-proof UKG roller.

‘Original Pirates’ follows a similar pattern at a higher tempo, with a track that packs a lot of pure energy into it’s running time. Soaring chords and chopped female vox ride the topline across a bubbling bassline and skittering drums for maximum impact.

‘Visions’ will probably be the track that you’ll hear shelling raves up and down the country the most though, a certified banger that pours all of the producer’s technical proficiency into a 4x4 monster with a bassline so juicy it will get you pregnant on contact.
