Cologne, fuses misanthropic black metal, darkwave and EBM to create a sound that
forms a danceable gaze into the abyss. A sinister, yet catchy trip with a total runtime
of 17 minutes.

„Paper-Wrapped Scissors“ builds a bridge from progressive rock to the clubs and dance floors. The title is inspired by the classic game of „rock paper scissors“: While rock is not mentioned explicitly in the title, a rock music influence is undeniably in the track. Wrapping the scissors in paper symbolizes a change of rules as the track breaks with the traditions of both electronic and rock music.

Rooted in different parts of the musical spectrum, „Paper-Wrapped Scissors“ could be seen as a dreamy and danceable midtempo track. With a steady 114 BPM beat, the track can work well in a DJ set or also stand on its own. An increasingly intense bass guitar drives the track forward as it builds up through a whirlwind of percussion, leading to a peak of twisted electric guitar sounds and ethereal vocals.

„Hear What You Can’t See“ is a dark and mesmerizing musical journey featuring deep bass vibes, electric guitars and vibrant percussion. 
Combining musical influences from rock, organic house and dark disco, it is made for open-minded music lovers: DJs, headbangers, ravers, goths and everyone in between. It is an invitation to embracing paradox and holding the tension between conflicting ideas.

When I first heard the song „Biotope“ from Boris, it immediately clicked with me and I knew I wanted to use it in my DJ sets. With the treatment I gave it, I hope it will allow new ears to connect and make it accessible to those who might otherwise not have this band on their radar.

This mix is a curated set that seamlessly blends the enigmatic allure of Dark Disco, the vibrant energy of Indie Dance, and the soul-stirring depth of Organic House. As a DJ set, it captures the essence of this genre intersection and also showcases some of the dark and sparkling soundscapes that I create in my studio. You’ll hear three original works that represent my own musical vision and also some works of other artists who have inspired me. Even though the tempo is relatively slow for electronic dance music, you will feel the energy rising throughout the set and reaching a peak at the end. Enjoy this musical journey!

Dark Silence is a visceral exploration of the tension between outward calm and inner chaos. This dark electronic track combines a foundation of electronic mid-tempo grooves infused with the raw intensity of metal-style vocals. Dark Silence is an invitation to dance while containing the storm within. It’s a collaboration between two artists in Basel (Switzerland) who share a love for both electronic beats and metal.

This mix is a sonic exploration of the deeper and rougher realms of dance music, blending the raw energy of dark electro, the pulsating beats of EBM, and gritty industrial sounds.

Over the last couple of months, I’ve been venturing into a sound that takes inspiration from the raw energy of metal and brings that to the dance floor. It really started with my single "Dark Silence“, which came out last fall, and continued with the unique electronic black metal collaboration we released as Incandescent Trance Ritual earlier this year. By working on these, I feel I’ve grown as an artist and producer by learning how to bring these very different styles together. I felt it was now time to put my DJ hat on again and show that these tracks also work in a mix.

Apart from my own productions, this mix features tracks from artists that have inspired me and that I see as my musical neighborhood. Includes music by Amorphous, Bill Leeb, Tachion-X, Kyunaa, Strvngers, and more.

Screaming Catharsis on the Dancefloor [DJ Mix - EBM/Industrial/Dark Electro/Metal]

A fierce collaboration between producer Marvis and debut vocalist Annik, “Stop (to fuck my mind)” fuses heavy electronic rhythms with raw, metal-inspired harsh vocals.
Lyrically, the track explores the rage of a woman in the context of a toxic relationship. On a deeper level, it’s also challenging the societal and authoritarian structures that suppress female anger and invalidate emotional truth.

The cover art, painted with Annik’s own menstrual blood, underlines the unfiltered intensity and radical vulnerability of the work.

Fans of The Prodigy, Tzusing, Kittie, Jinjer or Witch Club Satan will find a home in its brutal beats and uncompromising energy.
