A girl has seen a boy walking down the same stairs " a thousand times" but this time is different. Mary was inspired by seeing girls waiting for boys at the bottom of the school stairs at Prince Edward Collegiate, Picton, On. Many of the students Mary saw when on Hall Duty are now actually married.

It is one of the songs where Greg and I both wrote the lyrics, I wrote the melody; Greg arranged the song. It was produced locally in Belleville by Ken Harnden and is a totally Canadian production.

Thanksgiving in the Rain

This song, sung by Racquel and recorded at Studio Pros, Los Angeles, was inspired by the expert flying of Canadian bush pilots and the pride we Canadians feel in our engineers and astronauts, specifically Canadarm 1 and 2 and currently Colonel Chris Hadfield, who is presently on the International Space Station and is about to take command of it in March. As an immigrant to Canada from England, Mary, the writer, is expressing her wonder and pride in her adopted country.
