Truth in JAZZ

Take Five was recorded in 1959 by the Dave Brubeck Quartet with Dave on piano, Paul Desmond on alto sax, Eugene Wright on bass and Joe Morello on drums. Written in 5/4 time, Take Five rose quickly on the charts with its distinctive melody played on the sax, jolting drum solo and use of the unusual 5/4 time. Take Five has been included in countless movies and television soundtracks, and still receives significant radio play.

My love for people and my love for simply having a family will push me through to my goals.  I haven't attained it yet, but I can guarantee you I will have a family some day.  I forget what it's like to have a family.  I forget what it's like to be truly loved.  I forget what its like to truly love some one.  Do you remember what it's like to place your heart into the hands of another?  I can't remember.... To know that person will love you no matter what.  To know that person will walk to the end of the earth for you like you did for them.  What's it like to have true love?  I do not know.  I can only lust for it.  I can only hope i can find my happiness some where in this life, by just being me, not trying to attain something just because its what society believes in, but because it's what I believe in.  I want love.  I want a family.  These are my goals and I will never stop until I achieve them.  People can have goals of money, fame, houses, computers, cars, boats...what does it really mean if you can't share anything with someone you love?  I'm not talking about a one night stand...I'm not talking about that girl that is a good flirt and will make you feel happy for the moment.  I'm talking about a woman who I can give my everything to, and know she will accept it because she is in love with me just as much as I am her.  I only care about bettering myself because it betters her.  I only care for myself because I really only care about her.  I am going to find my family some day....I know some one is out there with the same thoughts as I.  Since love conquers all..and love is the only thing I have set in my heart....I can't go wrong.
