Skyline Rhythm

Los Angeles-based artist Eric Sharp links up once again with longtime collaborator Zhao on the Swedish imprint House Music With Love for an emotional single titled 'Monday Blues' and now the remix package includes three new mint versions by Pandhora, Urmet K and SOAME.

Pandhora creates very smooth track with a percussion-play that is right on point making it blend perfectly together with the bassline and the wobbly synthesizers. The vocals and the samples are cleverly used and well placed, and the live guitar riffs give it that little extra touch. This track is spacious, yet warm and intim ate.

Urmet K goes deep on this one, playing with the vocals and giving them space to echo throughout the track. A very nice touch on an already great remix. The drops are heavy with a great amount of bounce, making for a slightly darker sound before the melodic notes once again re-emerges. Absolutely beautiful work all together.

SOAME gives us a slighly mysterious feel with this remix. The beautifully EQ'd kick and the ongoing bassline marries very well and makes the entire track hit hard. The pads and the ringing notes gives for a darker ambiance, and the perfect part of the vocal sample was used to give it that extra edge. It's a great track, and a show of how one can transform the atmosphere of a song with the use of clever details.
