A huge thank you for these two crazy hours in the afternoon at Wiese. It was great to be back in Garbicz after a few years. Its such a beautiful place and everything was build with so many sweet details. Almost every corner of the area was filled up with some little arty pieces or with some installations.

After having spent the previous years of the festival comfortably on the lake and afloat. I got invited to play on land at this year’s Bucht der Träumer Festival. The blistering hot weather made for a fierce and sweaty session. 

Thank you so much for all the support, seeing so many familiar faces in the crowd made me feel loved and appreciated and I tried my best to give back all the love that you gave. It was an absolute honour to soundtrack the late night and early morning. This time a bit more fierce and powerful. Because sometimes you like to be whipped into a frenzy right? I had the honor to play at my friends @mira_kater birthday bash, one of the biggest (maybe even THE BIGGEST) birthday party thrown by any DJ that i know. I played a mix of my favorite tracks something between fast forward rhythms and some dubby but also shaky elements. A bit more pitched down than my usual BPM sequence, but i really liked the result. Thank you to all dancers and supporters, who danced this 3 hours so easily away with me. <3

The club "Mensch Meier" in Berlin is closing next weekend after ten years. I just stumbled out there last sunday, playing for the last time for real now. It was a running gag: I thought four times in a row in the last two months, that this gig was my last one there. And then another booking came and I was so happy every single time, because this place is special. One recording worked out really fine: my goodbye in mid november, playing at the wonderful theatrefloor for the great juicy event. It's been a beautiful vibe, thank you to everyone, who was there! Somewhere in the set is unreleased music of mine ;)

This club was important. On a musical level, and also for political debates. But I can totally see, why the people involved are exhausted and are coming to an end. Running a club these days in the claws of capitalism, going though crisis after crisis, trying not to be part of the sellout, whilst keeping your standards and working political is nearly impossible... I am tired too. I feel you.

Thank you Mensch Meier! I hope you have the greatest closingweekend ever and that you can sleep well afterwards and find your welldeserved rest. I am sad, that you will be gone.

Johanna-Mascha from East Berlin 1996

Music producer and DJ, MASCHA, hails from East Berlin, born into the vibrant music scene of the city in 1996. Raised by a punk DJ mom deeply entrenched in the Berlin club environment, MASCHA developed an early and profound understanding of sound. In her late teenage years she started already to visit parties in Berlin and has never lost the interest of its fever. Now she developes her own sound with her memories of that young litte raver girl. Since 6 years she has been living in Mexico City and is one of the key figures of its music scene, from working at a radiostation, where she hosted her own program and was also part of the booking team, she fast got to hold several residencies.

Beyond her role as a music creator and performer, Mascha is actively involved in the Queer community. From organizing DJ workshops, Panel Talks exclusively by FLINTA* individuals to producing and playing her music, she is a dynamic force contributing to both the music scene and community empowerment.
