Next up we're delighted to introduce Anestis Becker, a dear friend of the R27 family and excellent House & Disco DJ, record collector and selector. Before becoming a resident at Kollektiv Schillerstraße (Gleis44, Ulm)and Whildstage Heidenheim (Zweitaktfestival)he practically grew up in the club - one that his mother used to own back in the day - and fell in love with powerful vocals, euphoric piano riffs and heavy basslines.
In this special mix he takes us on a journey through his dreamy vinyl collection into classic house heaven. <3 

Is there a track in this mix that is special to you?
A good example of what I consider "Classic House" - the music I love the most - is "I Will" (feat. Inaya Day) [Main Vocal] by Mongobonix, released in 2000 on Subliminal. It's energetic, with strong vocals by Inaya Day, a dynamic composition, a calm long bridge followed by a phat bassline. It's really captivating, powerful and rich in contrast. This is the kind of music that was being played at Pier Club - owned by my mother, it was the place where I grew up together with my siblings and that first showed us the magic of house in 2007.

The common ground of early 2000’s progressive and trancy sounds of house music serves as the foundation and inspiration for the birth of Soft Bites (Modah & DJ Estrella). It's a seemless blend of tomorrow's peaktime productions paired with the lush and dreamy proggyness of yesterday. Add to that a dash of Ibiza's ecstatic sunrise scene, and you're in for a deep ride through the neverending cycle of escapist club music.

Soft Bites is the duo project of Copenhagen DJs and producers Modah and DJ Estrella. Modah is co-owner of record label TRTLNCK and has played every venue known to Copenhagernes creating profound dancefloor experiences for the past decade. Beside music, DJ Estrella has been a keen nightlife activist with KFP, Et Andet Sted, Ved Siden Af and Loophole Magazine, as well as hosting monthly podcast on nightlife music and activism.

Johanna-Mascha from East Berlin 1996

Music producer and DJ, MASCHA, hails from East Berlin, born into the vibrant music scene of the city in 1996. Raised by a punk DJ mom deeply entrenched in the Berlin club environment, MASCHA developed an early and profound understanding of sound. In her late teenage years she started already to visit parties in Berlin and has never lost the interest of its fever. Now she developes her own sound with her memories of that young litte raver girl. Since 6 years she has been living in Mexico City and is one of the key figures of its music scene, from working at a radiostation, where she hosted her own program and was also part of the booking team, she fast got to hold several residencies.

Beyond her role as a music creator and performer, Mascha is actively involved in the Queer community. From organizing DJ workshops, Panel Talks exclusively by FLINTA* individuals to producing and playing her music, she is a dynamic force contributing to both the music scene and community empowerment.
