- And we establish the obligation of Jihād and Ḥajj alongside the Muslim rulers in every time and age.
- An example of how people today oppose this principle and speak about the religion without knowledge.
- The obligation of performing jihād and Ḥajj behind the ruler of the Muslims.
- We do not hold it permissible to revolt against the rulers, and we do not fight in times of tribulation. And we hear and obey those whom Allāh has placed as rulers over our affairs, and we do not remove ourselves from the obedience to them.
- The Khawārij’s opposition of this principle, and disgraceful affairs they have fallen into. 
- Al-Kufr al-Akbar vs al-Kufr al-Aṣghar.

The main points covered in this lesson:

The Obligations of the Prayer are Eight:

1. All of the Takbīrs - except for the opening Takbīr.
2. Saying Subhāna Rabbee Al-Adtheem (Perfect is my Lord, the Most Great) while bowing.
3. Saying Sami’ Allahu Liman Hamida (Allah hears the one who praises him) - for the one leading the prayer or praying alone.
4. Rabbana wa Lakal-Hamd (Our Lord, to you belongs the Praise) - this applies to everyone.
5. Saying Subhāna Rabbe Al-‘Ala (Perfect is my Lord, the Most High) while prostrating.
6. Saying Rabb Ighfir Lee (My Lord Forgive me) while sitting in between prostrations.
7. The First Tashahhud.
8. Sitting for the first Tashahhud.

– if anyone of these obligations have been missed deliberately then the prayer will be invalid.
– if any of the obligations have been missed unintentionally then you make up the prayer with the two prostrations of forgetfulness.
– Difference of opinion regarding the saying Sami’ Allahu liman Hamida.
– All of the obligations are verbal - actions of the tongue, except for one, and that is the sitting for the first Tashahhud.
– When to say the takbir and Sami’ Allahu liman Hamida out loud. 
– Is the saying of Sami’ Allahu liman Hamida to be verbalised out loud when being led in the prayer.
– An example of a narration regarding the night prayer explaining the generality of the Prophet’s ﷺ explanation of the matter.
– Another example regarding a narration of the Mu’adhdhin.
– if a pillar of the prayer is missed, intentionally or unintentionally then the prayer will be invalid.
– If the Sunnan of the prayer is missed then this does not invalidate the prayer.
– The sacredness of the prayer.
