1st Obligation: Takbeeraatul Intiqaal (All of the Takbeers except for the Opening Takbeer)

2nd Obligation: Saying “Subhaana Rabby al-‘Adheem” whilst in Rukuu'

3rd Obligation: Saying “Sami’a Allaahu Liman Hamidah” when raising from Rukuu' – this applies to the one leading the prayer and the one praying alone

4th Obligation: Saying “Rabbanaa wa Lakal-Hamd” – this applies to everyone (imaam, those following the imaam and the one praying alone)

5th Obligation: Saying “Subhaana Rabbial-A’laa” whilst in Sujood

6th Obligation: Saying “Rabb Ighfir Li” whilst sitting in between the two sujoods

7th Obligation: The first Tashahhud

8th Obligation: Sitting for it (i.e. the first tashahhud)
