- Imām as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) on the verse, “It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her.” [Sūrah al-Anfāl 7:189] 
- The purpose of marriage.
- Striving to find suitable and compatible mates for ourselves and our wards.
- Ibn Kathīr (رحمه الله) on the verse, “Is then he who is a believer like him who is Fāsiq (disbeliever and disobedient to Allāh)? Not equal are they.” [Sūrah as-Sajdah 32:18]
- A tremendous narration instructing us to marry for our future offspring. 
- Clarification from Shaykh al-Albānī (رحمه الله) that compatibility and suitability in marriage is solely based on religion and character. 
- The kind of spouse we should be looking for. 
- Examples from the past regarding those who married from the sinful and wicked and those who married from the righteous.

- Ibn Kathīr (رحمه الله) on the meaning of “ٱلْخَبِيثَٰتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَٱلْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَٰتِ وَٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ وَٱلطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَٰتِ”. 
- Shaykh al-Albānī’s (رحمه الله) advice to a woman who discovered that her husband was an innovator after marrying him. 
- Shaykh Rabī’ (حفظه الله) on the danger of the one who comes in the guise of Salafiyyah.

1. My daughter is 15 years old. She wears a ḥijāb but only sometimes wears the khimār or jilbāb at the moment. Speaking with her she says she will do it later. Could you advise me?

[03/01/2025] Patience Upon The Pre-Decree That Causes Distress - By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wāḥid حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

– {No calamity befalls, but with the Leave [i.e. decision and Qadar (Divine Preordainments)] of Allah, and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart [to the true Faith with certainty, i.e. what has befallen him was already written for him by Allah from the Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], and Allah is the All-Knower of everything} [Surah At-Taghabun (64): 11]
– The believer knows that the calamity is from Allah and He guides his heart.
– Statement from early Salaf explaining the above points.
– The two types of people that have traits of kufr.
– Ahadīth showing how Allah trials a person and hastens the punishment in this world instead of punishment in the hereafter.
– Greatness of reward is in accordance to the greatness of trial.
– Having patience in Allah’s decree is a sign of a person having iman in Allah.
– Decrees are divided into two categories​.
– {No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves but is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz), before We bring it into existence. Verily, that is easy for Allāh} [Surah Al-Hadid (57):22]
– The statement of the believer during calamities: All praise is due to Allah in every condition.
– Ahādith showing when the decrees were written and the correct understanding of decrees.
– The believer is pleased with the decree of Allah, even if it is painful.
– The calamities that are due to our own disobedience – major sins and the continuous minor sins.
– How we can wipe out the major sins and minor sins.
– Types of Major sins.
– Not permissible to use pre-decree as an excuse for sinning – rather we are commanded to worship and obey Allah.
– Be patient upon the calamities that occur due to pure decree.
– Repent to Allah due to calamities that occur due to your disobedience and sin.
– Being patient upon the loss of a child and the rewards that will be received.

- The difference between choosing to be patient and being forced to be patient.
- The best medicine for the slave.
- The reason Allāh sends down calamities upon His slaves.
- The bitterness and sweetness of this life and the hereafter.
- The most beneficial and the most detrimental thing for the slave.
