'Ground Speed Tools' EP presents 6 tracks with high musical identities, revolving around electro house, minimal and progressive. The release takes clear direction into dance ready tracks while maintaining a certain care for storytelling and more sentimental atmospheres.
Now to present 'Spacial Earth', a stomping high-octane electro house cut involving lush crystallized pads and sneaky vocoder chops over a fat countertime acid bassline. The meticulously crafted conception of sound and arrangement captivates and immerses the listener in a heads-down and remarkably bright soundscape. French producer GRiNCH shows yet again another of his ways to implement a vibe.

Like morning light slipping through half-open blinds, "Fine" by Car Crushers feat. Tabi awakens a bittersweet longing—one that lingers somewhere between yesterday’s memories and tomorrow’s possibilities. Nestled as the B2 cut on "United Rhythms", the third release on Philipp Boss’ Activo Records, the track embraces contradiction: it’s nostalgic yet invigorating, weightless yet deeply anchored in the pulse of the night.

The duo, whose name stems from an incident that perhaps reshaped their creative trajectory, sculpts an anthem that feels like flipping through a sun-faded photo album while hurtling down the autobahn at twilight. A bleeping synth-line, radiant yet wistful, is enhanced by a super catchy deep house chord—one that almost sounds dubby, like an echo from a past night still reverberating through the present. It paves the way for Tabi’s voice—an apparition flickering in and out of focus, much like an old acquaintance spotted in a crowd but never quite reached. Her vocal fragments drift weightlessly, repeating the mantra "We’ll be fine", sometimes extending into "We’ll be fine, we’ll be okay", and at other moments stretching into "We’ll be fine, doesn’t matter, we’ll be okay"—a whispered reassurance wrapped in sound, a message as much to oneself as to the dancefloor.

Beneath the ethereal layers, the track is driven by a groovey yet pushy Euro House bassline, an engine propelling the arrangement forward with an effortless yet insistent momentum. The percussive framework dances with a confident nonchalance, each clap and kick placed with the precision of someone who knows the floor beneath them will hold, no matter how much they let go. The bassline, warm and enveloping, is less an instrument than an embrace, keeping the track’s euphoria from floating too far beyond reach. It’s a balancing act that few can execute with such elegance—the past bleeding into the present, the ecstasy of the club dissolving into personal reverie.

Perfectly made to be played out on those light and free summer days or nights, "Fine" carries the spirit of carefree euphoria, of golden hours stretching infinitely into balmy evenings. With this track, Car Crushers close out "United Rhythms" not with a full stop, but with an ellipsis—an open-ended invitation to wonder what’s next, and perhaps more importantly, to dance while waiting.

Welcome to Forms World.

Our first outing takes shape as a 4-tracker from ADMNTi, delving deeper into the sounds that have shaped the Londoners aural palette.

'Second Hand Sushi' kicks things off to a rowdy start - a real slab of energy that consists of paces drum patterns, twisting synths, and gritty, rattling basslines. This one's a no-frills dancefloor destroyer. The steppy drums of 'Lost Fruits' pull us further in, paired with shifting subs and laced with soundbites that echo the era of tape packs and pirate radio.

As we flip to the B-side, "Diptych" delivers a still pacey yet more soothing vibe, blending lush orchestral strings with warped vocal chops, all while keeping the head-bopping grooves intact. Rounding things off, a dub-tinged stepper which comes in the form of 'Shrublands'. Eerie chords evolve throughout the track, accompanied by melancholic flutes that bode well with the heavily delayed sax and wobbing basslines. Dialogue from London graff royalty weave in and out, as well as a certain Brooklyn king.

Frankfurt’s Chiwax has been responsible for some heavyweight releases by Ron Trent, Gemini, DJ Deeon, Ian Pooley, Boo Williams, Felipe Gordon and Jasper James. For the much-respected labels next release it welcomes Glasgow underground bubbler Jasper James back to the fold with his highly infectious ‘House It Up EP’. Since making his debut on Optimo Trax eleven years ago, James has notched up releases on some suitably impressive labels, including Steel City Dance Discs, ESP Institute and most recently NO ART.
 
On ‘House It Up’ the Glaswegian producers return visit to Chiwax comes via an EP that showcases the depth and variety of his solid house influences. Check first 'No Metronome', a dusty, thickset, and percussion-rich chunk of muscular deep house that reminds us a little of the great Kerri Chandler, before admiring the retro-futurist Chicago jack-track that is 'House It Up'. Over on side B, 'Mission 770' is a lightly dubbed-out chunk of peak-time deep house hypnotism and 'Do You Play House' sounds like 'French Kiss'-era Lil Louis fused with the sweat-soaked energy of Sound Factory era Danny Tenaglia and the Junior Vasquez productions.

With a finely tuned ear for rave-ready energy and soul-soothing melodies, Manchester duo Cortese continue a run of fine form. Following standout releases on LNOE and Hotflush, they make their long-awaited debut on Constant Circles with the Parallels EP - an essential slice of forward thinking UKG.

Two original cuts lead the way, showcasing Cortese’s signature blend of nostalgic garage vibes and cutting-edge production. These are closely followed by two standout remixes: label boss Just Her delivers a deep and driving rework, while Jozef K, known for his immersive sonic textures, delivers a haunting atmospheric twist, each bringing a new flavour to appease any dance floor.

Completing the package is original street art from Brighton’s legendary graffiti artist Unknown, raw and unfiltered, drawing on the parallel between art and music. Unceasing. Limitless. A constant circle.
