The Paris-based DJ and producer, Adrien Calvet, is back with a three-tracker dancefloor EP entitled “Inversed Tapes”. The focus of the project is “clubbing”, which is accurate timing as clubs worldwide open up again. It feels like Adrien is continuing his deep raw cuts signature heard on some of his previous projects providing listeners and dancers a familiar feeling to latch on.
One of the hottest Italian House producers, Ruff Stuff, wraps up the project with a deep and groovy remix for the books.

Perfectly capturing a balmy 1980’s night drive, surrounded by the city skyline, glistening streetlights, and swaying palm trees, Blazers describes ‘Traffic Lights’ as being “heavily influenced by Hi-NRG songs, Italo-disco and synth wave remixes such as Lifelike’s famous track ‘Heatwave’”. The looping synths and pulsating piano chords shimmer throughout, accompanied by the uplifting female ‘80s vocal sample of Shirley Lites ‘Heat You Up’ (West End), presenting a warm and vibrant feel-good fusion of deep house, disco, and electro.

"With the ‘70024 Beats Roots Vol.1’, Ruff Stuff welcomes onto the various artist package his ex Ruff Stuff production partner, now producing under the name of Flaze, Bress Underground and Toysin who debuts this moniker but is also known for his Techno material under the guise Earwax.

Flaze’s ‘Resolve’ leads the release and lays down an amalgamation of hazy chords, bumpy bass stabs, wandering strings and stuttering vocal chops atop a swinging drum groove. Bress Underground’s ‘I Bet You’re Wond’rin’ follows next and retains a similarly deep aesthetic, fusing ethereal pads, gritty bass stabs and bright piano sequences with crunchy shuffled drums and cut up vocal lines.

Label boss Ruff Stuff opens the flip-side next with ‘Gut Feel’, bringing a more vintage tinge to things via organ hits, cinematic strings, circling fm synth lines and squelchy acid licks. Toysin’s ‘You Don’t Pass The Exam’ then rounds out the release on a disco house tip via looped and chopped funk-guitar licks, vocal chants and weighty subs, while a weight 4/4 drum groove further fuels the energetic, peak time feel."

With Nowadays we have a platform to help make a difference and take action, so we asked friends, family and label members to contribute to a compilation, of which all profits will be donated to The Voices of Children Foundation in Ukraine.

The Voices of Children Foundation has been helping children affected by war since 2015. They provide psychological and psychosocial support to children. It helps them overcome the consequences of armed conflict and aids in further development.
